Diving enthusiasts can rent equipment and join boat tours to diving sites around Kvarner Bay from Diving Center Mihurić (10 minutes), while younger guests may prefer whizzing repeatedly down the giant waterslide into the Mediterranean Sea. To see more of this special corner of the Croatian coastline, head for the lively resort of Crikvenica (five minutes), where you can climb numerous steps up the bell tower of baroque-era St Anthony Church for views over the pretty harbour, or take a ride on the Crikvenica Eye ferris wheel (summer only) before retiring to a seafront café in sprawling Stjepana Radica Square. Still in Crikvenica, treat the kids to vibrant angel fish, sharks and delicate sea horses in the town’s aquarium.
