Local attractions

This park is in a great spot for a holiday that packs in lots of variety and activity. For starters, a half-hour drive gets you to the centre of Adelaide for visits to the likes of the Art Gallery of South Australia, Adelaide Zoo or Adelaide Botanic Garden. The Adelaide Oval’s in the city centre too for those that fancy catching a game or a show. For more thrills and entertainment, you may like to head to the bike track at the Adelaide Super-Drome (10 minutes' drive), the motorsports of Adelaide International Raceway (15 minutes) or the horses at Morphettville Racecourse (25 minutes). Meanwhile, for something that should appeal to the kids, it’s a 10-minute drive to St Kilda Adventure Playground. Away from the city’s streets there’s a lovely stretch of white sand beach and dunes at Semaphore Beach (20 minutes), with a waterslide, mini golf and a carousel as well as water that’s good for swimming and windsurfing. Alternatively, set off to the Barossa Valley (half an hour) to tour the wineries and sip a few samples in search of your favourite.
