  • Family-run rural site two miles from Broad Haven and St Brides Bay
  • Soft drinks and snacks available on site
  • Close to watersports, coasteering and whale watching
As it's Pembrokeshire, spectacular coastline is pretty much a given. But the chunk near South Cockett Caravan and Camping Park is properly splendid, as it's home to the village and beach of Broad Haven, overlooking St Brides Bay, and within easy reach of the Pembrokeshire seaside towns of Haverfordwest and Milford Haven as well as the teeny city – and more eye-watering scenery – of St Davids. A friendly and family-run park, South Cockett is two miles from Broad Haven, in scenic rural surroundings. Its tree-lined hedges separate areas of well-kept, level and generously sized grass pitches, all on their field edges leaving loads of room for kids to run around and play. The basic but well looked after amenities include a launderette with washing machine and tumble dryer, a washing-up room, waste water and chemical toilet disposal points, freezer pack facilities, toilets, sinks, and coin-operated showers with hot water. Soft drinks and snacks are available on site. For fuller supplies, a huge supermarket is five miles away in Haverfordwest, selling everything you'll need for a barbecue among this stunning Pembrokeshire scenery.

Power optional grass tent or trailer tent campsite

Liked: We cannot recommend highly enough! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm, friendly smiles that made us feel right at home. The family that runs this site go above and beyond, ensuring every guest has a memorable stay, from offering local tips and advice to making sure that everyone feels welcome and clearly take immense pride in what they do. This shows in every aspect of the experience. The facilities here are absolutely stunning—spotlessly clean, modern, and thoughtfully designed to cater to everything you could possibly need. The showers and bathrooms were immaculate, and the communal areas were always well-maintained and inviting. It’s clear that a lot of love and care has gone into making this campsite a comfortable and enjoyable place to stay. One of the highlights of our trip was the location. Nestled in the heart of Pembrokeshire, the campsite is perfectly situated for exploring the area’s breathtaking beaches, which are just a short drive away. But what really sets this campsite apart is the atmosphere. There’s a genuine sense of community and warmth here that you rarely find elsewhere. If you’re looking for a peaceful retreat in Pembrokeshire with top-notch facilities, stunning natural beauty, and the kind of hospitality that makes you want to return again and again, this family-run campsite is an absolute must-visit. We left with wonderful memories and can’t wait to come back!

Local attractions

The nearest beaches to the site are Broad Haven and Little Haven, both spacious stretches of sand edged with waters popular for surfing, kitesurfing, windsurfing and fishing. A surf school is in Broad Haven. Both villages have easy access to the Pembrokeshire Coast Path, running for 186 spectacular shoreline miles from Amroth to St. Dogmaels. From Broad Haven, hike the 11 miles to St Martin's Haven, via Little Haven and St Brides, or take the 12-mile path from there to Solva, past Newgale and Black Point. It's a wildlife haven on and around the water here too, so look out on your travels for seabirds on the cliffs and seals, porpoises and dolphins in the waters below. (Or possibly a UFO: the Havens were the scene of a few alleged sightings in the 1970s.) If you haven't managed to spy any marine mammals, book a dolphin or whale watching trip from the tiny city of St Davids half an hour's drive away, or a wildlife watching tour on and around the RSPB reserve of Ramsey Island, from St Justinian's within 40 minutes by car. Pembrokeshire castles are pretty well known around the country/world too, so take the car the 30 minutes or so to Carew Castle, a mighty sight on the edge of a 23-acre pond. Then let the kids let off steam at Oakwood Theme Park, around 10 minutes' drive to Carew's north.
