Liked: Wonderful views and walk down coast or beach. Shower block clean and little extras available. Great pizzas and beer with upstairs terrace and views. Walkable to St Davids

Disliked: Only 3amp option for campervans

Liked: This campsite is just perfect. Lovely facilities, good showers & very clean. Loved the extra touches & wood-fired pizza for tea. You can’t get better. Just under 2 miles to St David’s & a short walk from the site to a beach. What’s not to like. Friendly staff is the cherry on the top of a great site.

Disliked: Having to go home

Liked: My favourite campsite in tent or van. Craft beers and fresh pizzas beautiful views lovely beaches you can walk or catch the bus to St David’s. Friendly helpful staff clean modern facilities. It’s a regular for us.

Liked: Been a regular spot for us and no where comes close, the pizza the view and the cocktails. My son is getting used to his favourite spot on top of the van! Just perfect

Liked: Excellent site lovely welcome beautiful views. Very close to the best beach ever, sea clear sand and great rock pools. Close to St Davids even closer to boat trips. Surrounded by coastal paths. Amenities good showers toilets washing up facilities. Brilliant pizza’s great coffee and local beers for sale.

Liked: The whole site is extremely relaxed. We instantly felt the pressures of life disappear. The beach was lovely and fantastic it's dog friendly all year. The court yard was a lovely place to sit and chat with people. The pizzas were lovely. The beer was tasty. Really worth a visit

Disliked: Only disappointing part was having to go home

Liked: Everything. We came in early June, so it was relatively quiet. The views and walk on the nearby coastal path are fantastic. We didn’t use the bar/pizza area, but it’s great to have if needed. Showers, etc were clean and spacious.

Local attractions

This is heaven for beach buffs: Porthsele and Whitesands beaches are both within walking distance of Pencarnan. At Porthsele, take your pick from kayaking, surfing and paddleboarding from its sandy shore; if fishing's more your bag you can fish for mackerel, pollock and seabass from the beach and from certain points on the cliff around Pencarnan's land. There are also a few marked climbing spots around the cliffs on the land and some good entry points for coasteering or a coastal swim back to Porthsele beach… followed back at base with a sunset beach fire or barbecue to end the day. The famed surfing centre of Whitesands, a mile away on the coast path from Pencarnan, has a café, deckchairs and wetsuit hire, plus lifeguards in the summer months. Heading south, St Justinian’s (under a mile away along the coast path) is home to RNLI St Davids Lifeboat Station and a departure point for boat trips around, onto and beyond Ramsey Island to spy seals, seabirds, porpoises, whales, dolphins and sharks. Make time too for a trip to the tiny city of St Davids, to browse its shops and galleries and take a look at sixth-century St Davids Cathedral.
