Liked: Staff extremely helpful and friendly.Very quiet, plenty of space.Beautiful views

Disliked: Grey waste disposal was difficult to reach

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Thank you for your review. We agree, the space and views are truly beautiful. We aim to improve the grey water waste disposal option but as yet have no confirmed time frames. We do have an alternative grey water waste option at the activity centre for those who have tanks on wheels.

We’ll be returning for another break.

Powered grass tent or trailer tent campsite

Liked: Loved every second of our stay here! The views, the campsite, the staff, the facilities.. everything was fantastic! We came with 1x15 yr old and 1x3 year old and they both loved it too! The staff were so friendly and couldn’t have done more, the cafe and park was lovely, the shower/toilet block was spotless and warm and the campsite was so peaceful. We especially loved the fact each pitch was enclosed for extra privacy. We loved our stay so much we’ve already booked to return next month.. and 3 of our mates have now also booked a stay here too!

Disliked: Nothing at all. The only small feedback would be for activities for smaller kids <6 but that’s nothing to do with the campsite itself - it was great!

From the manager: What a fabulous review, thank you. We look forward to seeing you and your friends soon. Thank you for the suggestion, there have been conversations just this morning about activities for under 6 year olds. We do our best to listen to and act on all positive suggestions.

Powered grass tent or trailer tent campsite

Liked: That beautiful view to wake up to every morning. The excellent facilities - always clean. Helpful and cheerful staff - literally nothing they couldn't do for you. Generous and level pitches. So many great activities to choose from in particular the MTB trails on the doorstep.

Disliked: The cafe stops serving food too early to rely on it for your food and won't allow you to sit outside with crockery meaning that a tree in a rainforest has to suffer each time you eat - I think reusable plastic/bamboo or something similar would be much preferable to the needless cartonfest. They're aware and are redesigning the shared shower area for men.

From the manager: Thank you for your lovely review, we look forward to seeing you again. We will share your views with the cafe management about longer opening hours and reusable crockery.

Liked: Nice pitch and excellent facilities, beautiful views. Every single member of staff was friendly and helpful.

Disliked: We missed our gazebo and having a fire for roasting marshmallows! We camped next door to friends but the 'hump' between pitches meant limited space to sit together for meals. But those are small things - we will definitely return!

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Thank you for your review. We look forward to seeing you and the family again soon. Please call before you book again as we will try to book you on our largest pitch which may give you enough room for shared meals.

Local attractions

There’s a lot to do on site, for sure – but there’s also plenty to keep you busy when venturing out into your surroundings. The Pembrokeshire coast, for example, is less than half an hour’s drive away, for beach days in the likes of Broad Haven (half an hour’s drive), the ever-popular Tenby or its neighbour Saundersfoot (both 40 minutes). Pembrokeshire’s packed with historic places to visit too, including the lovely little city of St Davids (40 minutes), with its ancient cathedral and Bishops’ Palace. Carew Castle & Tidal Mill (35 minutes) is also worth a visit, to hear the tale of the castle’s 2000-year history and see the only restored tidal mill in Wales. If that’s not the kind of thing your kids are keen on, perhaps instead plan trips to the Pembrokeshire Llama Sanctuary (15 minutes), Folly Farm Adventure Park and Zoo (half an hour) or the action-packed Heatherton World of Activities (35 minutes) for things like paintballing, ziplines and crazy golf.
