Come and recharge your batteries on the Gower, South Wales. This relaxed site is next to an organic farm and is great for nature lovers due to the diversity of the local habitat. There is a National Trust Nature Reserve on the doorstep, and Kennexstone Camping and Touring Park's owners can help you hunt down the best local flora and fauna. There are numerous footpaths radiating from the site and hundreds of acres of hill and moorland to enjoy, with stunning views across Gower, Rhossili Bay and the Loughor estuary. The site is popular with cyclists, birdwatchers, climbers and even astronomers, who come to admire the clear dark country skies. Surfers won’t turn their noses up at the twenty - yes, we said twenty - fab beaches within easy reach, either. Electric hook-ups are available and the modern facilities include toilets with disabled access, showers, a laundry room and chemical disposal for caravans. Surfers will find a special area to rinse the sand out of their wetsuits. There's a shop selling beach products as well as the usual food and camping basics. If you can’t face the camp stove - or the washing-up - you’ll find a good choice of local pubs and hotels within a three-mile radius.

Route directions

Exit the M4 motorway at junction 47 (services); at the flyover take the second exit A483 (dual carriageway) and at the next roundabout, turn right onto the A484. Go past the next roundabout, and at the second roundabout, turn left onto the B4296. After approximately 1/2 mile (first traffic light), turn right onto the B4295. Follow the road for approximately 10 miles until you pass through the village of Burry Green. After 3/4 mile, you pass a right-hand T-junction (signposted Llanmadoc) and our entrance is 100m further on, on the right. Look for the big yellow house! If you are using a satnav, please type in the name Kyfts Lane before our postcode SA3 1HS. The postcode is wrongly registered to 300m past the entrance to the site. There are several M4 exits that your satnav will direct you to take before junction 47, but following the above directions is the fastest way to get to us.
