Primitive grass travel trailer campsite

Liked: Really enjoyed this remote and rustic little site - the view is spectacular and it has fantastic access to the Coast path. Although there is no showers or hot water the toilet block is super clean and they provide a dish wash station. If you are after a pretty little stop off for a night you don't really need much more.

Disliked: nothing

Disliked: Nothing really such a nice site only thing would say is my knees distance between the toilet door and yourself is abit of a squeeze, but apart from that everything lovely and I'd come back again

Primitive grass tent campsite

Liked: Beautiful setting and location, great access to walking trails and beaches, very friendly host (Andrew), proper toilets, very quiet (until the second night).

Disliked: Can't be helped by the owner but on day two other campers arrives who were less keen on being quiet, e.g. playing music and loud conversations. I had hoped this type of location might deter the louder types. Toilets quiet cramped for legroom.

Primitive grass RV campsite

Liked: Stunning sea views and really friendly owner who checked in to make sure everything was okay. Would definitely recommend staying here!

Disliked: Not a dislike at all but there is limited phone signal at the site, a short walk down the lane though and we got a good service. Only two toilets on the field, no showers.

Local attractions

All visitors to Anglesey should angle for as much coastal time as possible. That may well include lengthy rambles on the Anglesey Coast Path (which passes close to Pengraig) and/or as many hours as you can spare for beach time. Take a 20-minute stroll to rocky Ynys y Fydlyn beach or head south for 40 minutes on foot to the (often almost empty) sands of Church Bay. Stick around in Church Bay for a glance into the past at the Swtan Heritage Museum, then drive for 25 minutes or so to Amlwch, the northernmost town in all of Wales. It may look rather sleepy now but back in the day (the late 1800s) around 10,000 people gathered here around the world’s largest copper mine. Get an idea of what the place was like back then at the town’s Copper Kingdom Centre, then take a colourful walk round the old mine at Parys Mountain. After you’ve knocked around the north for a bit, head south for visits to Beaumaris Castle (45 minutes) and Ynys Llanddwyn (50 minutes), the island dedicated to the Welsh patron saint of lovers. A photo stop by the sign for the UK’s longest town name is a must, too. Deep breath and all together now… Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch (35 minutes).
