Liked: Went here a few years ago and whilst it was good then, the new owners have polished what was already a well situated site. Perfect for dogs and very welcoming staff.

Liked: Location - that's it!!!!
Disliked: Well where do I start! This place was like a building site when we arrived with no one or contact details at the reception desk and you can't get onto the site without a pass code for the gate. There are new clamping pods being put in at the first field with diggers and rubble around - this is where I managed to find someone to let us in. We were not expected at the site and sent right down to an end field with what can only be described as construction workers facilities there and they were horrendous. The wash block was a trek away and felt like an open barn barn with a few basic facilities there - it was not clean. There are a lot of parked up caravans there that are shabby and it's not at all welcoming - do not be fooled by the pictures on the site, they do not reflect the experience.

From the manager: Good afternoon, we’re sorry to hear that you feel this way and we appreciate your comment. Our electric safety barrier is there for security for those and the caravans on site, if you was booked on then you would have been given the code in advance and greeted at reception. During the quiet times in the week we are out the office ( but on site ) currently doing a lot of physical work on upgrading the site and during the winter months when we are closed all facilities are being redeveloped to new modern facilities including pot wash area on the camping field, not by the main block. However currently we have an onsite cleaner who cleans the toilets 3x times a day. Many thanks Tyddyn adi

Liked: beautiful view, great location, near to Porthmadog and Black Rock Sands Beach. near by convenience store and Fish & chip shop. Really friendly receptionist and friendly owner, have recently taken over the site and have done some improvements (new toilet block near the tent pitch area). Undertaking other improvements like new pods being installed. When I visited camp site was quiet, but no doubt busier in school holidays etc. The whole camp site was really clean with people picking up litter after half term. The pot wash, showers and toilets were a little dated but very clean, well done! Nice flat pitches well kept site and nice short grass- I would definitely recommend and will definitely visit again. On my last day said to the owner "glad to get home to my own bed but been a great stay, and just look at the back-drop" stunning! Plenty of wild rabbits on site too.
Disliked: Appreciate spot lights in the new toilet block are there for safety and to help but I didn't realise until night time that the spotlights shone light "through in to my tent". I hope you don't mind but I adjusted the spotlight the next day downwards to reduce "light pollution" in to my tent. Not a whinge as easily remedied.
