Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite (two person)
Liked: A really lovely campsite with beautiful surroundings of mountains and beaches, plenty of things to see, do and eat! The campsite itself was very well maintained by the lovely owner Barry, always cleaning, tidying and offering help when needed, a very friendly and welcoming guy! We had a lovely pitch, with toilets and showers when needed, a fab Easter weekend for a first camping trip of the year. Thank you to Barry and the team for a great stay, we will definitely return! Liked: Well positioned for access to snowdonia.
Disliked: Because of the time of year we expected it to be wet and muddy, so we paid extra to book a hardstanding and grass pitch. It turns out the site hadn't been open for 6 years until recently so the hardstanding had grown grass over it. It was fine to get on and off with the vehicle but you had no choice but to walk on the mud to get in and out of your van. This was made worse by having a dog with us. We're not unrealistic, we know this happens and had we not paid extra for this site, we would have happily lived with this issue. It just didn't feel we got what we paid for.
