Liked: Site is not too big but comfortable, enought space for tent and car. Look really beautiful, can see that owners put a lot of care about place. Toilets are clean and warm, the is no long distance to toilet doesn't matter where are you stayed. Site shop well equipped. Ladies in reception happy to help.

Disliked: I was not sure from where I can take drinking water as there was no sign so assumed that water is good for consuption from every tap

Liked: The campsite is very well-kept. The toilets and showers are modern and always clean. Without crowds, you can spend time with your family, surrounded by nature. The owners are very friendly and always helpful.

Liked: Beautiful clean site, really enjoyed our stay. Only thing I think could make it a little better is an extra washing up area, two sinks didn't seem enough for the amount of pitches, but we did stay at a busy time.

Primitive grass tent campsite

Liked: Site clean, good location.

Disliked: Kids running around tents and cars playing ball games and throwing things. (There are no ball games signs not enforced.) Pitches not level and too close together. Nothing to do if the weather is poor.

Local attractions

For those days where you can’t be bothered to walk too far, it’s very handy that the station for the narrow-gauge Bala Lake Railway is just five minutes’ walk away. Views of the water are a given, but count the mountains too: Arenig Fawr, Aran Fawddwy and Aran Benllyn are visible on the route. You may have your sights set on climbing Wales’ tallest mountain, perhaps. If you’re not climbing up Snowdon (an hour's drive) yourself, you might want to take the Snowdon Mountain Railway (an hour and five minutes), which has been making its ascent for over 100 years. A less strenuous trail than the Snowdon climb is the Mawddach Trail, which runs for just under 10 miles from Dolgellau (half an hour), crossing over the gorgeous Barmouth railway bridge on the other end. Coed y Brenin Forest Park (35 minutes) has plenty of trails too, through thick forest this time. You can take them on by mountain bike, standard bicycle or on foot – and there’s bike hire at the forest park.

Admission is only permitted after registering at reception.
At least one of the party members must be aged 21 or over.

Barbecues are permitted but must be raised off the ground and attended by an adult at all times.

In the event of a complaint, please speak to reception immediately. Complaints which are not brought to the management's attention during your stay cannot be dealt with once you have left the site.

Arrivals and departures

Late arrivals must notify the park as soon as possible. Your booking will be held for 24 hours. After this period the management reserves the right to relet your unit.
