  • Friendly, relaxed park five minutes' drive from Penmaenmawr
  • Within the Snowdonia National Park, 10 minutes' drive from Conwy
  • Country club with bar, entertainment, snooker and kids' zone
Lyons Pendyffryn Hall Holiday Park & Country Club is a relaxed touring park just outside Penmaenmawr, a pretty Edwardian village at the northern tip of the Snowdonia National Park. The prime position within this Conwy park is on the Country Club’s terrace, which has fine views out over the Menai Strait and Puffin Island. That same part of the park is also the social hub, with regular barbecues, live entertainment and special events running throughout the year, plus a bar, snooker room and family room to keep everyone busy. Other facilities include an adventure play area and a kids’ zone with pool table. This is a most handy spot for getting out and about in north Wales as the A55 is very close by, meaning that guests can get to Conway with a drive of about 10 minutes, and Llandudno in about 15 minutes. Family attractions such as the Welsh Mountain Zoo and Adventure Parc Snowdonia are within a 20-minute drive and Penmaenmawr’s beach is five minutes away. There’s a friendly, laidback vibe at this site, which welcomes dogs and allows guests to spend alfresco evenings by the campfire or barbecue; supplies for the latter can be picked up at the small supermarket in Penmaenmawr or the shops in Conwy.

Power optional cement/asphalt and grass travel trailer campsite

Liked: Tidy pitches. Plenty of space and it felt safe and secure. The outside area of the bar was delightful with great views of a beautiful sunset. Clean shower and toilet areas.

Disliked: Not so much of a dislike but there was more road noise than I expected. It got quieter overnight but started up fairly early in the morning. It may have just been more noticeable from the touring area where we. Also we were in a trailer tent so would be more aware of noise than a caravan or motorhome would be.

Liked: The location was beautiful.. I imagine it is the most gorgeous place to camp in the summer time

Disliked: The showers are not always hot, we tried three different times and three times they were absolutely freezing cold. The next evening they were finally hot and usable

Power optional cement/asphalt and grass travel trailer campsite

Liked: Conveniently close to travel routes for a 2 night exploring stay in north wales. It was quiet, but mainly because it was out of season, mid week and awful weather!! The main road is therefore not far away. Beware if this is not your thing.

Disliked: Almost brand new touring pitches were not level. Seems such a pity to spend so much on the surface, and electric and water to every pitch, but then to have them all so far off the level !! A missed opportunity. During our stay there was no hot water available in the men or women's toilet/wash/ washing up block due to a fault. This means that we used the facilities entirely in our van, which made it feel expensive as a stopover!!

Liked: Pitch was immaculate. The area was very clean and superb hard standing pitches.

Disliked: Toilet and shower block was not as good as others I have seen but functional. Although clean toilet paper was over the floors in bith male and female toilets. Having to pay extra for electricity was also disappointing.

Liked: The site was fantastic. The people are lovely. Our child made friends and it was a nice safe park by the tourers where the kids could run about. The clubhouse was brilliant, with a burger van for snacks and a bouncy castle.

Disliked: Toilet facilities could have been a bit more modern. That are slightly dated and if the park did this there wouldn’t be any faults at.
