Liked: Large flat field and cheap.
Disliked: As others have said the showers and toilets are uclean, with water all over the floor. Couldn't find a drinking water tap. Locals were walking their dogs around the field.

Liked: Pleasantly surprised after reading some of the reviews. Nice clean site set at the back of the pub. Could be classed as a pub stopover. It is on a football pitch so grass well kept. The pub was lovely, food good and staff friendly. Price not bad for what you get but wouldn't pay any more for it. Nice location if you enjoy walking or cycling.
Disliked: I agree shower block could do with an upgrade a couple out of order but we managed to get a warm shower and use of the toilet. It was not as bad as others had made out. The didn't seem to be anywhere to get water and no pot wash area. Wasn't able to connect to the WiFi.

Liked: Peaceful, safe and at £7.50 per person per night as a solo traveller, cheap. Grass pitches not marked around a football pitch. Park up go into bar and pay.
Disliked: Litter but that was some other campers I think staying in the pods not the pubs fault

Primitive grass campsite
Liked: Big flat open field (football pitch). Nice pub, with seating area over looking the football pitch. Very peaceful spot.
Disliked: There was lots of basic things missing. No hot water in the hand wash sinks. No hand soap or anything to dry hands on. Rarely any toilet roll either. A trip to the loo needing, tissue, towel and soap. No bins in the toilets or on the field, one bin in the beer garden area. Imagine having to dispose of sanitary wear in a bin surrounded by people eating and drinking? Not very nice for anyone and this bin was close to overflowing by morning and only 5 units using the site. There was no mop/brush to wipe the shower floor over so grass everywhere and didn’t see any attempt at cleaning during our stay. We arrived at 2pm and left at 11.30am. Lots of “out of use” and “do not use” labels on things. The showers/toilets are the changing areas for the football team, (NOT COMMUNAL-individual shower rooms) with a little bit of attention the facilities are more than adequate. The shower cubicle doors need fixing for example. We sat in the seating areas in the evening for drinks and peoples half eaten food and dirty plates were still on the tables when we left the next morning.
