Liked: Beautiful setting with stunning views. Close to Brecon and great spot to base yourself for hill walking. Lovely flat ground, super easy to pitch a tent. Shower and toilets were fine, could just do with more of them!
Disliked: More showers and toilets please!

Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked: Fantastic location. Big field with lots of space. Easy access to Brecon for fish n chips or a drink. Pen Y Fan northern route path within a few km from the campsite. Toilet is a basic compost toilet but clean, as was the washing up area. Loved the dog field, which was very useful. First night was fantastic, very quiet and just a few respectful fellow campers. 2nd night… not so good, but that’s no fault of the campsite owner.
Disliked: Noisy and disrespectful campers on 2nd night. There were a few groups and families who thought it was appropriate to play music and shout/ scream and drunkenly run around till way after midnight. Despite campsite rules stating dogs should be kept under control and on leads, there were numerous people who felt it didn’t apply to them. Dogs were either running around tents, chasing balls thrown for them across the main camping field or barking/ yapping well into the evening.

Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked: Views and surroundings
Disliked: Extremely muddy entrance to the field (due to the heavy rain). Had to help few travellers pushing theirs cars to get out. We struggled with our motorbikes massively. Two tent toilets and one shower for everyone- that’s 27 tents. We get its wild camping, but charging £40 for two people with tiny tents is a bit steep for campsite.
