Primitive grass campsite
Liked: Very picturesque, peaceful site and friendly, helpful owner. The facilities are basic but very clean and provided everything we needed. It is a short walk to a lovely beach and close to a static caravan park with a bar/restaurant, nice to sit out in the evening with a drink. It is quite close to a railway line but we didn’t find the noise intrusive as the trains are infrequent. In all, we had a lovely stay at Ty-Gwen, it’s great value for money and we would certainly stay there again.
Disliked: Nothing

Primitive grass campsite
Liked: Nice basic site, ideally located for a seaside break. Toilets were clean and there was hot water for washing up. (If there was a freezer for icepacks I didn't find it!) This was my second visit and this time I brought my teens in the hope of few sunny beach days. Unfortunately the weather didn't play ball but we explored the dunes, found the lovely Animalarium and had a trip to Aberystwyth. Perhaps we'll try for a sunny beach holiday again next year.
Disliked: Very minor moan - the grass was a bit long leading to soggy trousers so more frequent cutting would be good.

Liked: Less than 5 minute walk from the beach and about 45 minute walk from Borth. Located roadside which makes it easy to find without replying on maps, spacious, friendly greeting when checking in
Disliked: Only one shower per sex, this is coin operated but the machine is outside of the shower
