What customers say
Great location for West Highland Way hikers! Clean washrooms with hot showers. Friendly, helpful staff. Amenities are basic; no drying room or hook-ups on pitches. Communal barn offers shelter. Spacious sites, nice views. Manager working on grass protection.

Lovely, site
Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked Lovely site. Facilities are basic. The showers are clean, and the water hot and plentiful. Space to charge phones. Picnic tables in the covered area.
Great location, with plenty of tourist attractions within 30 minute drive.
Majority of campers were walking the West Highland Way which goes past the site.
Disliked Please invest in a wheel barrow, for those of us staying for more than one night to get our stuff to the car free camping area.

Fine for an overnight stay
Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked It was on the West highland way
Disliked The amenities very very basic, we were told to erect our tent 150 cm from the adjacent tents which were ridiculously close

Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked Good grass pitches and very clean facilities. Staff were most helpful. However, not allowing the use of stoves on the grass limits the camping experience and means cooking on wooden tables in the covered eating area. Unfortunately that area is closely surrounded by showers and toilet cubicles. Not a good combination.

From the manager: Thanks for your review and yes, we are looking into finding another solution presently. It's been implemented in a bid to save our grass as once an area has scorched by hot pots, burning from the stoves or just discarding excess boiling water, the area is unfortunately destroyed for the rest of the season.

Only suitable for camping with self sufficiency
LandPod camping pod (four person)
Liked Nothing at all
Disliked The pod was very badly insulated and sealed. Cold air leaked in from every joint
The shed were people can eat and shower is nothing but a cow shed

From the manager: Obviously a very disappointing and surprising review to receive after helping with your additional needs. We always encourage guests to contact us directly to give us the opportunity to resolve any issues at the time instead of leaving poor quality reviews. The LandPod is very well insulated but if cold air was leaking in and if you'd let us know at the time, we would have helped you straight away.
We are transparent about the communal barn area and that we are a basic campsite. Our reviews constantly refer to the cleanliness of our site, excellent location and customer service but we accept we can't keep everyone happy.
For others reading this, if you have any issues, please contact us at the time day or night when we are in a position to help you straight away. Your happiness is our priority.
