Minto View primitive forest floor tent campsite (medium, wild, woodland)

Liked: The scenery, they dropped off wood and fresh water every day, the facilities were nice and clean and friendly staff.

Disliked: The half mile walk to the woodland, however there is an option for them to drop your kit off for a fee.

Castle View primitive forest floor tent campsite (wild, woodland, small, adults only)

Liked: Facilities were well looked after and kept clean. The staff were incredible, when we booked the wildwood camping, it mentions a 15 minute walk, but didn't realise how far haha, but the staff allowed us to book kit assist right in the middle of our stay to help us carry rest up and bring us back down. Beautiful estate, very quiet. Best of both worlds with the wild camping and the main pitches. We loved it so much, we have already booked again later this year!

Disliked: The walking haha our fault. There was nothing we disliked about the site. Found no fault.

Walled Garden primitive grass tent campsite (small)

Liked: The site was lovely, the layout was good. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable and eager to help

Disliked: Could maybe do with more parking for when it's busy especially when the over flow (extra parking) area is too wet to park in

Castle View primitive forest floor tent campsite (wild, woodland, small, adults only)

Liked: From the beginning, we were welcomed and the staff couldn't do enough to help, despite a busy weekend! We absolutely loved the similarities to wild camping with the quiet, woodland pitch. It seems like they have an area for every type of camper! The Thunderbox/compost loo was well maintained and stocked and the logs topped up everyday. The firepit with the pitch was a lovely touch and we made beautiful memories around the fire. We spent an hour cuddled around it warming up a wet bee! The staff were super friendly and helpful. The hub was cosy and had everything you needed from the shop, to charging points, to the clean showers and toilets. Thanks so much for helping make a great weekend!

Woodland 2 bedroom safari tent

Liked: We loved our holiday at Ruberslaw! We stayed in one of the safari tents. Our tent was roomy, clean and comfortable and placed on a hillside with beautiful views across to the hills. We loved the sense of complete privacy, yet we were only a short walk from all the facilities you could want (eg a little shop, toilets and lovely clean warm showers). All the staff were so friendly, polite and helpful. Bringing the bags round to the tent in a buggy is a nice touch. There's loads to see and do in the surrounding area too. We would recommend Ruberslaw to anyone.
