Local attractions

Bring your boots and/or bikes for a stay here, because there’s much to explore nearby. A particular favourite is Lady Mary’s Walk (10 minutes’ drive to the trailhead), a six-mile circular trail along the banks of the River Earn and over Laggan Hill. The forestry track at Turleum (10 minutes), the Knock of Crieff (20 minutes) and Loch Turret (half an hour) also have much to offer. Adventure seekers can plan climbs of Ben Chonzie (half an hour) and Ben Vorlich (40 minutes) or take mountain bikes to Comrie Croft (20 minutes). For something a little more leisurely, perhaps a game at Crieff Golf Club (10 minutes), a tour of Glenturret Distillery (15 minutes) or a trip to Auchingarrich Wildlife Park (25 minutes)? Over in Perth (25 minutes) you can visit Scone Palace, The Black Watch Castle and Museum and the Perth Art Gallery, and it’s also easy to get to Stirling (40 minutes) to see the castle and National Wallace Monument.
