What customers say

This well-kept site, in a walled garden, has spacious, serviced spots. Praised for cleanliness and friendly staff, facilities like showers and family washrooms are generally excellent. Its peaceful vibe and proximity to Aberlour and the Speyside Way are ideal for whisky region exploration. Notes: can get busy, some showers lack shelves.

Liked The site was lovely and kept very clean. It was very peaceful and well maintained. The caravan was lovely and spacious and the fact we had wifi made a big difference. The location was a bit too far for us and for that reason, and only reason, we probably would not go back again, but would definitely recommend it to others.

Disliked There were no bedside lamps which surprised us and unfortunately not something we have experienced before which was a slight downside for us as we like to read before we sleep.

FHU gravel travel trailer campsite

Liked Lovely little site, very friendly staff. Clean bathrooms and toilets (although could do with a mop or something to dry the floor as not being able to dry it seems to be ruining the flooring) really nice vibe to the site, peaceful and very clean. Nice washing up area. Loved the pitch. Shop was well stocked and we were lucky enough to catch the pizza van, which was great. Nice not to cook for the night on our road trip. We will definitely be back for more than just a night next time!

Disliked Only overhead showers which aren’t great for kids, but not the end of the world. The site also seemed to have a bit of a wasp problem, especially around the bin area.

Liked Lovely park, great staff. A lovely warm welcome from Helen! Fabulous lady who looks after everyone!

Was also nice to meet Ollie too!

Kids loved the set up with plenty of play space.

Facilities are clean and well maintained and a lovely fresh coffee each morning from the shop!

Bonus of the Pizza Hut being there Thursday and Friday!

Disliked Leaving!!!

Local attractions

A little walking can get you to some real-good views from Speyside Gardens Caravan Park, whether it’s the river Spey or the Linn Falls (45 minutes’ walk), a wild swimming spot. Dufftown (10 minutes or an hour and half’s walk) is a little longer of a trek, or a short drive. Mad about its malt whisky, the village has plenty of distilleries and a whisky museum. In Elgin (25 minutes), there are more Scottish distilleries, of course. Save some time among your distillery tours to check out Elgin Cathedral and one of Britain’s oldest museums, which has been standing since 1843. While the whisky distilleries, walking trails and river Spey give Speyside visitors plenty to rave about, the Scottish coast is also within driving distance. There are two sandy beaches in Lossiemouth (35 minutes), along with the Moray Golf Club old course over the sea (a bucket-list item for many keen golfers).
