Liked: Spacious pitches.
Disliked: Toilets and showers. Only one person at a time can shower! As soon as somebody else started showering, the flow in my cubicle almost ceased.

From the manager: thank you for your review. we apologise about your experience, and will look into this issue. We actually have 2 shower blocks to accommodate everyone, so you may have not seen this on your park map.

Liked: Very clean well kept site . Good facilities shower/toilet blocks. Friendly staff.
Disliked: No serviced pitches and it's looking to eventually get rid of all the touring pitches and become a residential park

Liked: Very clean , pristine . The best shower facility , a proper shower with dressing area so nothing got wet . The chemical disposal , a proper toilet and wash hand basin , amazing .
Disliked: No one to meet and greet . My pitch had been changed , I went and had a look where I would have been and I would have liked it better . There was no pitch number 6 marked so can only assume I was in the right spot . I did not like being surrounded by residential holiday vans . All very clinical , no atmosphere , had booked and paid for 2 nights but only stayed for 1 , highly unlikely to go back , just ok for a 1 night stop over .

From the manager: thank you for your review and we apologise you feel this way. we do our best to keep pitches the same as booked although sometimes there are mistakes in our system. However, it is unlikely that those who book hardstanding vs those who book hardstanding and grass are swapped. Unfortunately our office is closed on weekend and after 5pm, however google, our website and booking confirmations all show this. We send check-in instructions before arrival if it will be during this time.

Liked: The pitch would have been nice had someone else not taken it.
Disliked: When we arrived, another camper had pitched up on our pitch, we asked them to move however they wouldn’t as had pitched up and was set up. They told us where there pitch should have been, but that they didn’t want to stay on it as it was HS only and they needed Hardstanding with grass as his friend had brought a tent. I’d said that wasn’t my problem I had booked a hard standing grass, and they were on my pitch, yet they wouldn’t move. As no one in reception or able to contact on phone we just went down to the lower hard standing only pitch for the night as didn’t want any aggro. With a full site, only the lower toilet block was opened. A sign on the top ones saying closed - but no reason as to why. The bottom toilet blocks contained only one toilet for the men, and one shower in each toilet block. This is unacceptable for the amount of people that were staying. The women’s toilet when you entered the light would come on via sensor, however as soon as stood in shower or in the toilet cubicle the light would go out as the senator didn’t cover the whole bathroom. This was really inconvenient especially at night as it was pitch black in there. Workers that are staying on site, drinking out the back of their cars and being really loud. Heard two other campers who had gone to their pitch only to find other people had pitched up on it, one ended up sleeping in the carpark as had nowhere else to pitch. What is advertised as a 5* certainly isn’t! Before we arrived I was happy with the amount of information as to where pitch is etc .. however this did not work out as others campers do not abide to their pitch numbers and when no one is on site to assist or help it ruins it

From the manager: Hi James Sorry to hear you didn't have the stay with us you would have expected. Unfortunately there are occasions where people go onto the wrong pitch, however we were available to be contacted by telephone. Our phone number is on several correspondence we send to our guests, I'm not aware of any phone call being received to report this incident. Apologies about the toilets, we did have an issue with them recently and have had the external drainage Company attend to resolve, however this was not entirely successful, so we had to close these blocks off to ensure the issue was not made worse by people using these. As far as the light is concerned, this has just been replaced, so I will contact our electrician to have a look a the sensor, perhaps it needs adjusting a little as this is not usually an issue for our guests. With regards to the workers drinking out the back of their cars, again, should this have been causing you an issue, the number could have been called and we would have endeavoured to attend to this. Again, we are disappointed you didn't enjoy your stay and hope that should you find yourself in the area again, you would please reconsider coming to our Park.
Would stay again

Liked: Location for public transport. Nice quiet site
Disliked: Bins overflowing and not changed from Friday to Monday. Confusing signage on washrooms. Lack of recycling points( there is one but this was full and not close to pitch. WiFi was useless better speeds on 4g

From the manager: Hello Thank you for the review. We will look into this bin issue, as this sounds very unlike our staff not to empty them, and certainly must be investigated. thank you for bringing it to our attention.
