What customers say
This campsite is praised for its peaceful, rural location, offering lovely countryside and wildlife views, including horses. Visitors highlight the excellent value for money and the friendly, helpful owners. Accommodation options include well-equipped shepherd huts and basic hardstanding pitches with electric hook-up, water, and waste disposal. While some note the absence of toilet and shower facilities, this is generally understood as part of the basic stopover offering. The site is ideal for touring the local area and serves as a convenient stopover.

Power optional cement/asphalt RV campsite
Liked Had an amazing quiet night in this tiny stopover, Roman is a lovely guy, very welcoming, it's a far enough drive out the way from Dumfries, and other neighbouring towns, and if you like quiet and the feeling of being secluded then you'll love it, great walks, it has no toilet services, just EHU, so an equipped motorhome or campervan works best for this stop, will definitely use it again, thank you Roman

Caroline shepherd's hut (four person)
Liked Fantastic little huts!
Filled with everything one could need and honestly better amenities than in some hotel rooms. The value for money is simply outstanding, the owners were very pleasant and we were surrounded by lovely open scenery.
Disliked We were not taken aback by Dumfries (the local town), though it did have plenty of shops, pubs and cafés.
Nothing negative to mention of the campsite.
