  • Well-maintained park with superb views
  • Next to Powfoot Golf Course; four miles from Annan
  • Next to a beach nature reserve
Peaceful, quiet, relaxing and nature-filled breaks are the name of the game at Queensberry Bay Holiday Park, a fab holiday park on the shores of Scotland's Solway Firth. If pubs, clubs and loud entertainment are very much not your thing, you'll find all you need here at this top-end and popular park instead, including an excellent little campers' kitchen with first-class views across the bay. The park also has excellently maintained showers and toilets, and a small licensed shop selling essentials like chocolate and the (also very well-regarded) Queensberry bacon rolls. The Queensberry team is keen to point out that those looking for golden sands might be better off heading further west along the coast; the beach here, however, is a beaut nature reserve filled with grassy knolls and pools, and a breeding ground of the protected natterjack toad. It's just the spot for Spot and other dogs too as it's a perfect place for walking the pooch.

Sandside powered cement/asphalt and grass travel trailer campsite

Liked: The sea front location and the overall park.

Disliked: No over road grill to empty grey water- only small drain which required driving on grass to access.

Liked: The view from sandside was beautiful, the facilities were very clean and the service was friendly. Having hook up with a tap was brilliant.

Disliked: Dog owners not keeping their dogs quiet and allowing them to yap without a second thought for other campers.

Liked: Nothing

Disliked: Booked through you and had to change the dates. Called the head office of Queensbury and was told that I could change the date, although I would not get a refund of the difference in price. They did not change the date and can not fit me in. I am out of pocket by £117 and extremely annoyed. Having spoken to there inept staff at head office yet again, and because I cannot remember the stupid girls name from 3 months ago, they will not refund me! Crap, crap and crap. Small claims court is calling!

Sandside powered cement/asphalt and grass travel trailer campsite

Liked: Beautiful views of the sea and literally a couples of minutes to the beach. Facilities clean and well kept, pitches large with plenty of space. Staff welcoming and helpful.

Disliked: Nothing to dislike, more a comment for those getting onto the beach. The path near reception to get to the beach ends in a patch of water so you need to track across the grass which has plenty of crevices. If you're not sure footed you need to find a longer way round onto the beach.
