Not great
Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked The hostel building looked beautiful and the location is great.
Disliked Our 3-day reservation with the required deposit to tent camp was cancelled by the facility on the day we were supposed to arrive. The reason we were given was because of the weather. We were able to find a different place to stay that was right across the road, and thus we were able to see where we would've been camping. The ground looked fine. I believe they were just at the end of the season and didn't want to bother with having just us, even though there were also guests inside the hostel. In my opinion they should've honored our reservation.

From the manager: Dear Robin,
Our campsite is located adjacent to a river.
The weather forecast was for heavy rains, which we feared might cause a flood in the river.
We therefore decided to close our campsite for your safety and comfort.
Yes, it was a last-minute decision, because we kept hoping the forecast would change, but we knew you will find an alternative campsite nearby.
We refunded your Pitchup deposit as promised.
I wish for you that you will never have to deal with the worry and uncertainty we face every time a storm is forecasted.
Best regards,
Hostel team

Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked Friendly staff, clean showers and toilets, really well-run kitchen with breakfast option. We had a tent and could use all the hostel facilities. By the river, quiet but near enough to pubs and all the craic. Highly recommended.

Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked Great location for exploring the Cliffs of Moher and Doolin, with several places to eat and drink within walk distance. The camping area was well kept, with bookings managed to make sure it doesn't get overcrowded. Campers are given access to the hostel building, which contains good showers, an area for phone charging, and a kitchen should you wish to use it.

Awesome, super clean, well located, facilities.
Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked Beautiful place, for the price you get services like accessbto cheap washer and drier machine, breakfast for 2 euros, free showers, access to a fully stocked kitchen. I pitched a tent in a beautiful place between a cool river and a beautiful stone wall. Ideal to trek to the Cliffs of Moher. The staff let me use a guitar to make ambiance. It was great.
Disliked There are no supermarket nearby. Bring supplies.

Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked The camping was lovely. First of all the bathroom, the guest room and the kitchen were very clear and cozy. In the kitchen there was a lot of space and everything we needed for cooking. We stayed just one night but we had the opportunity to talk and enjoy the company of many interesting people. Great location and a wonderful sunset. Hope to come back soon :)

Disliked Didn't see a dryer or towels at the wash hand basins.
