Silver powered cement/asphalt and grass travel trailer campsite

Liked Location…very close to Stonehenge.

Disliked The showers and toilets were very dirty, they didn’t look like they had been cleaned for a while? Rotten bits of wood around the shower cubicles and the condition generally very poor and worn out.

Primitive grass campsite

Liked Lovely location with great walks around to explore. Great value for money. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Showers and toilets weren’t 5 star buts it’s camping and were clean enough.

Disliked Main road junction can be difficult to get out off with amount of traffic for Stonehenge

Primitive grass campsite

Liked Lovely campsite! I read the reviews and was a little worried but I honestly don’t understand them! Shower and toilet block modern and clean, site well maintained and lovely staff. We had non electric field which was find your own pitch. Bank holiday weekend it was busy but we still found a lovely spot - no chocks needed. Will definitely be back!

Disliked Nothing!

Gold FHU cement/asphalt and grass travel trailer campsite

Liked What wasn’t to like, beautiful site, good access to surrounding areas, the night sky was amazing. Gold pitch with water and grey waste on the pitch.

Disliked Having to use players on the tap for the week as the top of the tap was missing was told on day 1 it would be fixed and never was. We asked the young lad in the shop on arrival where the chemical waste was and was told they didn’t have one. My wife went for a walk and found it, she went back to let him know and he was still adamant there wasn’t. Gents facilities needs to be as nice as the ladies.

Local attractions

No need to spend aeons introducing the main attractions near this park… the Stonehenge site is just miles away and nearby Avebury contains the biggest stone circle in Europe. Other historical highlights nearby include Longleat, Stourhead Gardens and the medieval Salisbury Cathedral, over 400 feet high and with Europe’s oldest working clock. The county of Wiltshire as a whole has heaps to keep all ages and interests occupied, from the Longleat Safari & Adventure Park to stately homes such as the National Trust - Mompesson House. Further afield but still within easy reach, World Heritage historyheads can also take a trip to the historic city of Bath to gawk at the Georgian architecture or get Darcy-like at the Jane Austen Centre (have a proper English tea at the Pump Room afterwards). Or there’s Bristol with the famous SS Great Britain and the award-winning We The Curious interactive science centre, voted one of the top 10 family attractions in the country. Nature types should trip along to the New Forest and its guided walks on the wildlife and landscape, year-round events including country shows and carnivals, cycle and horse riding trails, forest villages and seaside towns.
