What customers say
A simple campsite with amazing panoramic views and a peaceful vibe. Guests loved the big, tidy field and the close-by pub. Basic portaloos and a water tap are provided. Some found them fine for short trips, others wanted upgrades. Great for walking, rural feel, and good value. Watch out for sloped ground and mud when it rains.

Primitive grass and earth tent or RV campsite (sloping, maximum 6 metres)
Liked Simple and beautiful. I just took myself away for the evening with the van, shared the field with one other person and watched the sunset. It was glorious. The view is fabulous.
No thrills, a field with a view and a couple of portaloos. Perfect.
I live only 20 mins away, and I feel this is somewhere I will be returning a lot for when I need the head space!

Fantastic for the price.
Primitive grass and earth tent or RV campsite (sloping, maximum 6 metres)
Liked Absolutely amazing views. Nice and breezy as high up. Found a flat spot, although it does slope in a lot of places. Water and portaloos. So no frills. Grass kept short, saw foxes, lots of rabbits, the local horses. Lovely pub down the road, which you can park in for free if you eat there,or it's pay and display, some good walks round the area. Very laid back campsite. I had the whole field to myself literally for 2 days. About 12 there through my 3 days stay. I'm definitely going back again and it's quite local to me so quick getaway, but feels like you are in the middle of nowhere. No traffic noise hardly either.
Disliked Only negative was that there were about 6 to 8 dogs with different people and not one of them adhered to the dogs on lead rule. But that's the only negative.

Primitive grass and earth tent or RV campsite (sloping, maximum 6 metres)
Liked Fantastic panoramic views towards South Wales.
Wide, open space with plenty of options to pitch.
Great pub within a 10 minute walk.
Disliked It’s been said by many reviewers on here but the portaloos are undesirable. Hopefully the owners will install permanent toilets soon, preferably compost loos, and a nice solar shower block?! It would definitely make us return.

Liked Traditional field site with lovely views.
Lots & lots of space.
A couple of portacabins, a few water taps (not sure how many), & bins.
The Swan Inn a few yards down the lane.
Great location
Disliked Tap’s not clearly identified as drinking or non drinking - turned out to be drinking.
Not much shelter from aggressive sun.

Space, views, peaceful, pub, basic, no car needed
Primitive grass and earth tent or RV campsite (sloping, maximum 6 metres)
Liked Space, peace and quiet, tents are not on top of each other. Also quiet enough halfway June, lovely horses in the fields next to us. Very basic facilities, just a field, a portaloo and a tap with a sink. Nice pub with friendly service is a 3 min walk. Plenty of walks from the campsite, no need for a car. Shipham is a 15 min walk away and has a butcher plus shop. And the views!
Disliked A few trees in the field would be nice

Primitive grass and earth tent or RV campsite (sloping, maximum 6 metres)
Liked Huge field and they only allow 20 pitches so lots of space. Children friendly and everyone is very respectful if they have dogs. Great walks in rowberrow warren a few minutes away without getting in the car.
