Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked: Great Location for walks to Blagdon and Cheddar. Very easy to set up with a big enough field for a quiet nights sleep (Even with the road so close). Toilets (With a light) and Shower was immaculate and drinking water is perfectly accessible. Would recommend for any sort of group
Disliked: The only thing to keep in mind is that is far away from any shops or pubs, but if you are prepared this is not a problem.

Liked: Lovely views, spacious pitches. Good value, plus small deposit and pay on arrival. Fire pits available and bbqs allowed.
Disliked: Compost toilets (clearly explained in the listing, not a surprise), no basins, could not find general waste bin for nappies. Cash only, didn’t realise this before arrival so had to find a cash point.

From the manager: Thank you for your lovely photo and kind comments. We have now labelled the wheelie bin and yes we do prefer cash!
Great views, basic but clean site, friendly owners.

Liked: Had a lovely night away with 13 yr old twins, fantastic views and sheep. Clean compost toilets and cold shower that was invigorating to say the least. Fire pits available with wood. The large pitches with room for everything without having neighbours too close.
Disliked: Set just off a busy road so a bit awkward getting in and out with my trailer tent, maybe gate could be moved back a bit to allow room to pull in to open gate without blocjing the road.

From the manager: Thank you for your kind comments, we do apologise for the shower it should not of been cold, sometimes the wind blows out the pilot light. We have added instructions to try and resolve this problem in the future.
A lovely simple set up, with the bare nessesities for camping.

Liked: Overall our stay was good, the field is nice and spacious, the facilities clean and the owners are very friendly. The only downside, if a light sleeper like me, it can get pretty noisy pretty early, as it’s quite close to the road
Disliked: Quite close to the road

Liked: Relaxed arrival and leaving times, open choice of flat, even pitches. Local area is beautiful and owners were friendly.
Disliked: Lack of info about the fact they were composting toilets, lack of soap to wash hands and right next to busy road.
