What customers say
Clean, well-kept site with friendly owners & great views. Praised new facilities & spacious bell tents. Alpacas a hit! Generally peaceful, but some road noise. Lacked on-site power hookups & a coffee shop.

Lovely campsite, having alpacas next to the field was a nice touch.
Bell tent
Liked The campsite was lovely and in a gorgeous location. It's quite small which I preferred because it meant it was pretty quiet. Having the alpacas next to the field was the best part!
The toilets were clean (apart from bins not being emptied). We would definitely come back again.
Disliked The only thing I would say is the bell tents were very close together. There's probably 1/1.5m between each tents guide ropes which doesn't provide much privacy or space to sit next to your tent. Fortunately there were only a couple of others there so it was okay, but I bet fully booked it would have been more difficult.

From the manager: Thank you for your lovely review, and apologies the bins were not emptied more regularly, I have fed this back to the team!
Really nice small field for camping with the family.
Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked It was a nice cosy field. Very flat and a great location. The toilets were clean and not far from the the pitch.

Clean site with level pitches, very family friendly
Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked New and clean facilities. Well kept ground. Easy to find and good facilities nearby. Alpacas were absolutely adorable!! Good communication from Dani. The pizza van on Friday was fab! Make sure you take a bbq or fire pit as there aren't made fire pits.
Disliked Wouldn't describe it as wild camping as you were assigned spaces and it was a well kept field. Not necessary a negative, just make sure you know what to expect as lots of families were there and felt less wild than we normally choose. Also there was no hot water at peak times, and a queue for the toilets/shower (this probably isn't normally an issue though!)

From the manager: Thank you for your lovely review, apologies if 'wild' camping was little misleading, allocating pitches has been a new thing this year to resolve some issues from last year and avoid a check in process. Hot water issue has now been fixed, we hope you look to visit again next year.

Absolutely no dislikes but definitely would recommend a play area.
Bell tent
Liked What a lovely place in a fantastic location! Our kids absolutely loved the freedom to roam, and the alpacas were a bonus 😍 🦙 The bell tents were spacious and comfortable, and the toilets were impressively clean. The owners were incredibly kind and helpful, making our stay even more enjoyable. We’d definitely come back 🥰

Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked There were four of us with two tents. They gave us two pitches next to each other. The pitch was very clean, there were cubicals with showers and toilets which were very clean. Free hot water for showering unlike other campsites.
Disliked Nothing.

Really good, good facilities
Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked It was clean and tidy. Good facilities. Bathrooms always clean, very spacious, toilet paper and hand-wash.
Facilities to wash dishes with hot water.
The location is very handy to explore around
The Alpacas was a bonus, really cute as neighbours.
Disliked The only thing was the noise from the road, although the park is away from the main road you can hear the cars.
In the evening you could hear the cars and the planes, but we could sleep anyway, didn’t bother us too much .

Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked Great little site. Clean shower and toilets and loved the alpacas.
Even with being so close to road can hardly hear any traffic

Really impressed with the lovely wooden, well stocked facilities
Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked Flat pitches, clean facilities, alpacas, vegan pizzas, location, friendliness
Disliked Loud other guests! The large group did kinda take over the space and their kids were a bit annoying, shouting a lot and kicking their ball near us etc. It didn't feel like anyone had had a word with them to make sure they respected other guests. Raucous laughter into the early hours etc etc.
But it's not the end of the world and I'm glad they had a good time.
