  • Spacious pitches on the Dorset coast, overlooking Chesil Beach
  • A 10-minute drive to central Weymouth; 15 mins to Isle of Portland
  • On-site bar for drinks and food; play area and playing field
You’ll be able to squeeze the maximum amount of sea air out of your Dorset coastal break when you stay at East Fleet Farm Touring Park – this spectacular location is on the shores of the Fleet Lagoon, with views over Chesil Beach to the open sea beyond. Having sea views from the site means that you may be tempted to hang around on your pitch, put your feet up and simply take in the scenery for much of your break. And that’s not a bad idea at all – pitches are generously sized, with access to a play area and playing field for kids that may need a bit more activity. The well-stocked shop has various camping/caravan accessories and consumables, and it’s also the place to pick up a newspaper and an ice cream to take back to your camping chair. For more substantial eats, head to the on-site bar, which has an extensive food menu as well as a range of local drinks. It really is worth making the effort to get out and about locally though: there are some stunning walks on the South West Coast Path (which passes next to the site) and plenty of places to go for a bike ride. Weymouth and Dorchester are easily accessed too, as are the watersports of Portland and attractions such as Abbotsbury Swannery.

Powered grass tent campsite

Liked: Lovely place, overlooking the sea. Showers and toilets were lovely. The restaurant served some nice food, a little more expensive but you'd expect that on a campsite. It closed a bit early, 9pm, but maybe that was because it was early in the season.

Disliked: Many of the pitches sloped quite a bit but the lovely lady on reception moved us to a pitch that was a little more level.

Powered grass campsite

Liked: Beautiful site, well maintained, grass areas are very generous size. The showers are like small bathrooms best I have seen on any campsite, heated, toilet in each one perfect for families with small children. even had piped in music and hair dryers. Staff are super friendly, lovely bar area and resturant. The shop is huge with everthing you would need, espically a tooth brush as I had forgot mine.

Disliked: Nothing to dislike. will put it in my top of my, lets go back to here list. ( wifi a little poor, your on holiday leave your phones at home).

Liked: The very clean and modern shower facilities, the space inside the cubicle which included toilet and sink, which helps with privacy. The pitches were well spaced out and privacy with the hedges. The large fields available for the dogs

Disliked: The taste of the water on the pitch. The prices of the meals in the restaurant Half a mile walk up hill to bus stop

Local attractions

Can’t keep your eyes off the sea views? Pick up the South West Coast Path at the bottom end of the park, or head for favourite spots along the Jurassic Coast like West Bay (half an hour’s drive) and Lulworth Cove (35 minutes). The Isle of Portland (15 minutes) is also a great place for a walk, and it’s also got lots of watersports including windsurfing, coasteering and scuba diving. Weymouth (10 minutes) is another perennial favourite for its lovely sandy beach and attractions like the Sea Life Centre and Pirate Adventure Golf. You can also get to the town on two wheels by picking up the Weymouth Trail cycle route from the bridleway by the site (or follow the full nine-mile trail up into the hills…) Other options for days out nearby include Abbotsbury Swannery and Subtropical Gardens (15 minutes), Vurlands Animal Farm (20 minutes) or an arty afternoon at Sculpture By The Lakes (half an hour).
