  • Peaceful farm site under five miles from the Jurassic Coast
  • Just a 15-minute drive from sandy beaches in Weymouth
  • Five minutes' walk from a bus stop; dog-friendly
Are you in need of a peaceful getaway in scenic Dorset? Bagwell Farm Touring Park should tick your boxes, with its quiet, rural location. It may be peaceful, but it's still only a handful of miles from the Jurassic Coast, a World Heritage Site, and a 15-minute drive from the sandy beaches in Weymouth. You don't have to move far from your pitch to see stunning landscapes. The car park for Chesil beach is 15 minutes' drive away and The Fleet Lagoon is 10 minutes' drive away. For scenic walks, the South West Coast Path has miles of stunning views. Plus, on the Isle of Portland (20 minutes' drive away), there's the chance to try watersports such as windsurfing and kayaking (in the harbour), climbing, coasteering, diving and fishing. After a jam-packed day, you could unwind at one of Weymouth's many pubs, restaurants or tearooms. Bagwell Farm Touring Park is also very welcoming, so very nice for a laidback evening. The facilities include a shop selling local produce, a playground and toilet and shower facilities. Dogs are also welcome. Charmouth, famed for its fossil hunting, is a 40-minute drive away along the coast. In the opposite direction, reach Durdle Door (a well-known stone arch) within 35 minutes. It's also worth noting that Weymouth is accessible by bus; there's a direct connection from the bus stop five minutes' walk away from the site.
