  • Family-oriented park between Dartmoor and the south Devon coast
  • A 15-minute drive from Totnes and half an hour from Plymouth
  • Indoor off-road track available to all cyclist guests
Wheeldon Farm is a holiday park in the stunning south Devon countryside geared towards families looking for action-packed motorhome or campervan breaks. Active holidays are easy to come by here: you're roughly equidistant between Dartmoor National Park and the the splendid south Devon coast. With miles of green lanes to explore starting from your pitch, this is a particularly fine spot for mountain bike and e-bike riders – and you're covered whatever the weather as kids (and big kids too) can spend hours zooming around the farm's all-weather indoor tracks. There's also a small playground and football pitch where younger guests can let off some steam. On top of that, bikes are available to hire on site for adventures through the local countryside. All guests are welcome to use the modern toilets, hot showers and lounge area. Here, you'll find a washing machine, a large washing-up sink and a coffee machine. Guests are welcome to bring barbecues and firepits. Well-behaved pets can expect a warm welcome here, with daily walks (or swims) provided by the river Avon. This peaceful spot is just at the end of the green lane that crosses the site, while further afield in the South Hams there's a range of dog-friendly beaches and trails to explore. The nearest shop can be reached within 10 minutes' drive.

Liked: Owners were very accommodating with our late arrival and very welcoming in the morning. Nice quiet spot and although we brought the rain spaces are on concrete and saved any mess or mud. We had an issue with our battery the day we left and the owner was very approachable and helped us out with a charger to get us up and running again.

Disliked: My wife isn't a keen camper so wasn't keen on the toilets or showers and the odd bugs, but it wasn't unusable and the showers are hot so not all bad ;)

Liked: Nothing except leaving the next day

Disliked: No welcome. Depressing concrete cow yard with hook ups. Toilets had no toilet roll in all three cubicles. Shower block cold not enticing in any way. Showers cubicle covered in green algae, & has only top shower rose so impossible not to get hair wet. No toilet / waste water disposal for chemical toilet.

Liked: Wheeldon Farm was exactly what I needed for an overnight stay whilst visiting a friend. Great price which included ehu and no extra charge for my two dogs. No problems with wifi. I wanted a hardstanding site as the weather has been so bad recently. Very quiet, friendly site with amazing views and great to be able to walk the dogs virtually straight from the door. Entrance to the farm is well signed and plenty of passing places in the lanes so was fine for my VW van.

Liked: Super easy and laid back, beautiful surroundings. Came in really handy as last minute booking on our much needed stop off en-route to Cornwall. The lovely lady who showed us around even mentioned they were doing a morning walk nearby for anyone who fancied joining - a sweet touch.

Liked: Location and lovely owners who could not have been more helpful. Showers were hot and room was warm. The price was extremely reasonable for what we received on site we were more than happy.

Disliked: And it is not really a dislike! Toilet and shower finish, however the owner told me this was going to be his next job, they did the job for the very reasonable price. I am sure they will be able to put their prices up when this has been done.

Liked: My son loved it ! It has a dirt bike bmx track ! He was obsessed and worn him out! Andrew and Louise were very nice and friendly ! Toilet and shower were fantastic, lovely hot shower and plenty of good size toilet . My dogs had so much fun and had space and good water supply for them to take a shower ! Cannot fault it . Best value for the money !!!! Well done Andrew thank you so much .

Disliked: Track down to river Avon was quite wet which is absolutely fine! Not a dislike at all ! But at the end of the track, not sure which way to go left or right to see the river , end up just returning back 😂

Liked: Fantastic location. The views are stunning. The owners are really friendly and helpful. It was too cold to light our fire pit but loved the idea that we could! We loved the BMX track!!

Disliked: Not a dislike. Toilets and showers are quite rustic but clean. Showers on a timer so I had to be quick
