Arkadia Farm - north Devon Welcome to Arkadia, our easily accessible off grid site for caravans & motorhomes. Situated just outside Exmoor National Park & the village of Bratton Fleming. We have stunning views across to Hartland Point & Dartmoor. Escape from the stresses of life at our back to basics off grid site. ⛺️ mains water ⛺️ (green chemical) toilet emptying point ⛺️ dog friendly (due to livestock, dogs must be kept on a lead at all times) ⛺️ 2 park's, woodland and footpaths within easy walking distance. ⛺️ Secure Dog walking field for hire 2 miles away. ⛺️ Choice of Dog friendly beaches 20-30 minutes away. ⛺️ peaceful location ⛺️ great views ⛺️ village shop a short walk away ⛺️ easy access to local tourist attractions, pubs and restaurants Here on Arkadia we have a small herd of Royal Golden Guernsey goats & a small flock of Wiltshire Horn sheep along with some poultry. If you are looking for a quiet site away from the hustle and bustle but within easy reach of modern facilities then why not come and stay.

Local attractions

The small market town of South Molton is a 25 min drive with the larger river port town of Barnstaple only 20 min drive. Bratton Fleming * Millenium Woods & Playground. This is 8 acres of common land with streams, beautiful trees and wonderful birds and wildlife. * Wood-Fired Pizza on Wednesdays. Pre-orders taken, call 07983 353932. * Fish & Chips on Fridays. Freshly cooked to order. Look out for the sign in the village. (Bring cash) Available 5pm to 7.30pm. Beaches * Woolacombe - this wonderful wide sweeping beach has masses of space to run around as well as fantastic rock pools to explore and is edged with steep sand dunes. Woolacombe is a special destination for those that love the beach. It is a dream come true for surfers, kite-surfers, paddle boarders and sea swimmers. * Ilfracombe - this lovely town, features a huge statue ‘Verity’ by Damien Hurst, has a great beach, lovely harbour and lots of activities including an Aquarium. * Coombe Martin - secluded sandy beaches, great rock pools and dramatic coastal scenery. * Croyde - famous for having one of the finest surfing beaches in the country. Quality pubs in a well preserved village. Walks * South West Costal Path - starting from Lynton to the Valley is tarmaced, flat and provides a picturesque route along the SW Coast Path. Famed for mesmerising landscapes and geology, the Valley of the Rocks is a frequented landmark for its herd of feral goats. * Tarka Trail - established 1987 as the Taw/Torridge Country Park using the disused railway line between Barnstaple and Bideford. It combines both walking and cycling facilities. * Exmoor - there are many walks and stop off points to enjoy the moors, with spectacular views, try to spot the native ponies and other wildlife. Places of Interest * Arlington Court - a National Trust house with a number of walks as well as the Carriage Museum and cafe. * North Devon Zoo - open all year round * Tarka Railway - the Tarka line is a vintage scenic railway line which stretches from Exeter to Barnstaple stopping at small villages on the way. The whole journey takes about an hour and a quarter. The Barnstaple stop is about a 20 minute drive away. * Exmoor Steam Railway - a narrow gauge railway situated on the outskirts of Bratton Fleming. * Lynton & Lynmouth - this pair of lovely Victorian seaside towns are joined by a delightful Victorian cliff railway. There are a range of boutique shops & galleries as well as pubs and eateries. * Clovelly Village - this gorgeous traditional fishing village is so steep it is famous for having no cars and instead using donkeys and sledges to carry heavy loads through the village. There is a daily charge to enter which goes towards conserving the village. Local Pubs & Restaurants * The Black Venus Inn - up towards the moors, a cosy traditional pub. About a 10 minute drive to Challacombe. (Closed on Mondays.) * The New Inn - based in Goodleigh. This pub has great food and drink offerings, including a Sunday roast. It is popular, so you will need to book. About a 15 minute drive. * The Pyne Arms - a multi-award winning pub, with a varied and interesting menu featuring locally sourced ingredients. About a 15 minute drive away. * The Boathouse at Instow - overlooking the estuary towards the delightful village of Appledore, they serve excellent seafood and restaurant quality food. Approximately a 25 minute drive.
