  • Simple, peaceful campsite on the north Cornwall coast
  • Mawgan Porth five minutes' drive; 15 minutes to Padstow
  • Access to Porthcothan Bay and the South West Coast Path
Set just inland from the north Cornwall coast, Seaview Stays has lovely, open views across the surrounding valley. While it's not visible from all of the pitches, guests can catch partial sea views from various points around the site – and facing west, the sunsets can be very memorable. Just five minutes' drive away from St Eval and near several sandy beaches, it's a peaceful and well-placed base for exploring the coast. Pitches are on a slight slope, so make sure to check the pics before you arrive. Coast lovers of all stripes should be in their element here – there are excellent walks along the South West Coast Path to Bedruthan Steps or Mawgan Porth from the site, or you can just stroll through the farm to reach Park Head, Porth Mear Cove or the sands of Porthcothan Bay, a splendid spot for paddling and bodyboarding as well as scenic sunset picnics. Can't get enough? Top spots like Newquay and Padstow aren't far off either. This is a laidback and pleasingly spacious site that welcomes families, groups and dogs and is pretty relaxed about things like barbecues and campfires. Simple facilities include basic toilets, coin-operated hot showers, drinking water taps and a chemical waste disposal facility. There's no wifi on site, but most guests can get a strong 4G signal. Mawgan Porth (five minutes' drive) and Padstow (15 minutes) are your closest places for shops and places to eat, but there's also a shop at Porthcothan Bay for snacks, coffees and ice creams and a nice tearoom a little over a mile away.

What customers say

This no-frills site boasts wide-open fields with great views, perfect for stargazing and games. It's praised for its peaceful vibe and beach access. While the setting and staff are wonderful, some visitors noted the basic washrooms and occasional issues with toilet paper and hot water.

Liked Everything ❤️ the open space, the closeness to the beach also the facilities were clean and regularly checked. There was no WiFi, which is a great plus with two young kids, they played bat and ball, read books, bubbles and with not a tablet in site.

Primitive grass campsite

Liked LOVED the basic-ness of it (if that is a word). Simple, bog standard which adds to the simplicity of the park.
Facilities included electric & non-electric large plots, 2 clean toilets, 2 warm showers, 1 hand wash sink & soap, 1 dish washing area, and amazing views! Not overcrowded.

The local beach is close enough to walk to, so make sure you bring your body board.

There are some amazing walks to be had and especially at sunset by the cliffs- get the right sky for it and it’s truly magical sight. You can’t get more back to nature than that!

Primitive grass campsite

Liked Everything!
A perfect spot for my family to enjoy the simple life of camping. A beautiful walk to the beach, coast paths, short drive to St Merryn and Padstow. A great base to explore the area.
Facilities are basic but perfect. Will definitely be staying again.

Disliked Nothing to dislike about the site.

There is no WiFi and signal is intermittent, this wasn’t really a problem for us as it’s good to get off the devices!

Liked Lovely peaceful site, everything you need for relaxing holiday.
If you want a club house, lots of noise and camping on top of each other and a shower block then don’t come here! If you want the simple things in life then this is it. Showers were lovely and warm, toilets nice and clean. Just a great space!

Disliked Nothing to dislike about this site!
