Football fan? Love the beautiful game so much that you'd like to spend your holiday at a football club? Well, now you can – because the good folk at Wadebridge Town Football Club are opening their place up for guests to come and stay during the close season. In fact it doesn't matter in the slightest whether you’re into football or not, because this pop-up site on the edge of Wadebridge makes a fine base for exploring this part of Cornwall. It’s only a 10-minute drive from the north coast beaches and handily close to the the A39 and A389 for longer jaunts around the county. And of course, it's handy for the amenities of Wadebridge itself – several shops, pubs, takeaways and places to eat are within easy walking distance, and Wadebridge is the start point for the lovely 18-mile Camel Trail for walkers and cyclists. Even closer to home are the club's own facilities, which are open to guests and include toilets, showers and the clubhouse. You’re welcome to bring a barbecue along, and breakfasts can be arranged upon arrival if you like. As well as getting to stay in a very convenient location, guests here will also be helping to boost the local community – profits from the campsite will help to support the club’s work with its adult and youth teams and maintain the facilities for future generations.
