Liked: Very clean site, near to lots of bus services
Disliked: Only 2 female showers 2 male showers and no private sinks if you just wanted a wash. There at a fairly quiet time but still had to queue.
Recommend to friends Visit again
From the manager: Hi there, We do have a unisex private washroom with electric shower, toilet and sink at the end of the block open from May bank holiday to end of September. The rule for showers is 2 each for men and ladies per 60 pitches so with less than 50 pitches 5 showers is plenty. Glad you found the site very clean and easily accessible for bus journeys. Best Wishes, Sarah and Jo
Immaculate but very noisy and not convenient for the Camel Trail.

Liked: Immaculate and very organised
Disliked: The noise - unfortunately there is a busy road right next to the site that destroys any peace & tranquility. Also, it is not conveniently located near to camel trail as we had hoped as the lane was too muddy to access the camel trail. We had to use the fast/ narrow road and ride a longer way to the camel trail.

From the manager: Thanks for the positives NB, sorry the road disturbed you - it is very clear from our location we are on a main A road so unfortunately traffic noise is not something within our control. There are several options for getting to the camel trail - one being the lane you mentioned which as it has been raining almost continuously since last August is muddy when usually dry by now. There is a route equal in distance to the lane which involves crossing the main road twice but cycling on country lanes not on the main road. This is highlighted on the large local area map on the reverse of our welcome board and we are always on hand to help had you asked us either directly or by phone/email. Really glad you found everything immaculate and well organised. Best Wishes Sarah and Jo

Liked: Loved the tidy, well maintained grounds and pitches. Peaceful site set in a central location for visiting nearby towns, villages and beaches.
Disliked: Only improvement we can think of is it would be good to have a bench fitted in showers to allow us oldies to sit down when drying our feet!

From the manager: Thank you so much for this fantastic review of our campsite! It is wonderful to read you found the whole site clean, tidy, well-maintained and peaceful. We look forward to welcoming you back, thanks for the suggestion of a bench in the showers - if we don't have this next time you visit we can lend you a foldable stool :) Best Wishes Sarah and Jo

Liked: Toilets and showers are clean.
Disliked: It was ridiculously noisy. A hedge row away from all the traffic on the A39. If you want to have a peaceful camping experience don’t go there. We paid £78 for two nights and only stayed for one as it was so noisy. I was so tired the next day as I couldn’t sleep. The entrance is down the road off the A39 so I didn’t give it a thought they would put pitches right next to the main road. Owners , Loose a bit of money and plant hedges on those pitches to deaden the sound. It would improve your campsite massively. Very neat looking campsite showers and toilets clean. Other people on the campsite where also upset about this too.

From the manager: Hi Medina, Yes we are right next to a main road and yes it can be noisy. This is something we do not hide and from our location on a map you can clearly see this. If you had done more thorough planning or even phoned before booking to say you were concerned about potential road noise we would have dissuaded you from booking as we want people to enjoy their stay with us which most people do. More frustrating is that you did not voice any disappointment to us whilst you were here - we could have found you another pitch further away from the road as we were not fully booked when you stayed. We have however had a number of people who stayed at the same time as you rebook for next year so i am unsure who else was unhappy. I am sorry you were disappointed and can only suggest that you do some more research on a site before booking. Kind Regards Sarah

Liked: The privacy of the touring pitches, the cleanliness of the toilet and shower block and we were particularly impressed to find a dog play park complete with a bin and poo bags.
Disliked: Very little to comment on here! The site is by a main road which we could hear from our pitch but it didn’t hinder our sleep or affect our stay.
