What customers say
Friendly owners, peaceful, well-kept site in Cornwall. Clean facilities, great woodland walks. Food vans & bar a hit. Basic washrooms, but improving. Some found few personal hygiene sinks.

Disliked I booked a 2 night stay at Marazion campsite purely to visit places in their area I camped or visited in the 60,s and 70,s. We have a Classic Ford transit lwb campervan that has most facilities built in except a shower and toilet. When I booked the stay we had already stayed at Eden valley campsite and another site off pitch up which were excellent but needed a few more nights further in Cornwall with similar facilities one of which is a modern clean shower with modern clean toilets and washbasins with both hot and cold water. I fortunately I did not see any photos of Marazions facitilites, or read anything about the site as we expected most modern touring sites have half decent showers and toilets. This definitely does not apply at Marazion touring site. I did not check the facilities straight away on arrival as we wanted to fit as many places we were interested as possible in 2 days. The first evening when we returned late in the evening we went into the toilets/ washbasins and found no hot water. Then when we went for a shower we found a small row of hired out mobile event showers that were dirty , unhygienic and well used. We did not use either except the toilets. During the evening I needed to go to the loo as I have had both bowl and prostate cancer. On leaving my camper I had to walk across a grassed / gravel large area with a large light attached to the main building which blinded me and I tripped over a small unlit drive stump of wood that edged the drive way in front of me. Luckily although I am a fit 79 year old I managed to not hurt myself. When I got into what was originally a building site toilet it smelt awful( it was a unit with it's waste stored under the floor of the unit. The next day I had a terse conversation with the owner about the ex event showers units the same for the toilets and the non existent hot water. I told him also about a large dog that confronted me off it's lead when we arrived the day earlier. I told him we wanted to not stay another night and the reasons and that I wanted at least one nights money returning ( I would put the first night down to stupidity on my behalf of not checking everything about the place ) I found the owner very unapologetic and defended his campsite as good value for the area. We only stayed another night because otherwise we would loose time by checking around on our last day in the area. If we had a caravan with built in shower and no need to use his cavities his site would be ok , but to advertise it as fit for purpose is not correct
I can only describe his showers as verruca possible if used. Obviously he did not refund me anything and his fees were more than either of our 2 other excellent places we had stayed in the east of Cornwall.

Liked They were very friendly and helpful on arrival and as the weather was due to improve I was able to have a whole field to myself. The dog loved it. Showers were nice and hot and toilet block was close to everything. There are a lot of public footpaths around here so I walked the dog lots when we were there. Close to beaches so decided to stay an extra night.

Liked We had only booked one night. The owner was very kind and thoughtful as he put boards down on the wet grass pitch for our motorhome. He said the forecast was for heavy rain that night. We were very grateful as he was right! Toilets were clean. Well looked after site. Sadly a lot of trees had come down during Storm Goretti but the owner was getting the site clear.
