Stargazer shepherd's hut (four person)
Liked Beautiful place. Stayed in the stargazer hut which is very accurately named. The sky was so clear we could see the milky way. Cute little hut, comfortable beds. Warm showers with decent pressure and nice cooking area with multiple fridges, stoves and even an air fryer. Location is very quiet, apart from the beautiful sounds of birds and the cows across the field. Had a freat fiew of the ocean from our hut. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Liked it so much we stayed an extra night.

Liked Stayed here for 1 night in shepherd's hut, everything as described in the site, kitchen has everything and showers are clean and good hot water running through. Plenty of play areas to keep the kids engaging.
Field is muddy due to bad weather, so have a pair of boots while walking inside the campsite.

From the manager: Thank you for the top marks. We have gravel pathways to get to the Yurts and keep the grass short with the ride on lawn mower. There are some longer grass areas at the peripherals if you are collecting a stray frisbee though. March was particularly wet as well, but all improvements are completed now and the grass has grown back around the new breakfast bar. Guests are enjoying the full English breakfast, burgers and the vegetable saag aloo in particular.

From the manager: Oh dear, sounds like you turned up after 8pm in March, to a wet field and couldn't find the light switch. I think you have to lift the handle once the front door is shut for it to close properly. Outside of mid April-mid September is a bit of a lottery with the weather, hence the 39/night. We have on site staff and signage, but never mind. It was awful weather, so fully understand.

Barn Owl yurt (four person)
Liked there was a lot of space between yurts to allow for quiet space for your self.
Disliked Barn owl yurt is listed as having a double bed AND a double sofabed, which is just what i needed. When I arrived I found just the double bed. I rang Matt several times. His phone kept going to voice mail. Finally I spoke to him and asked him to sort it out. He was unappologetic and rude. He told me to pull out the mattrass from underneath the bed, find bedding in the shed next door and make the bed. He was too busy playing cricket and could not be bothered to come up with a better solution and put the phone down on me. In the end he did manage to find someone to help, too little too late. She told us that there has never been a sofa bed in the yurt anyway. A clear case of over promise and underdeliver. Zero sense of customer service!
There were lots of candles in the yurt a large number without candle holder on a wooden surface, and a wood burning stove, which was very close to the fake fur throw over the bed. A fire waiting to happen.
