What customers say

Great value campsite with friendly staff and a handy Cornwall base. Spacious pitches, basic but clean facilities (rugby changing rooms). On-site clubhouse, bakery, and good transport links are a plus. Occasional road noise is noted as manageable.

Primitive grass campervan campsite

Liked Friendly welcome (in the in-house bar). Relaxed atmosphere. 'Park wherever you want'. Toilets, showers, sinks, rubbish bins, drinking water. No chemical waste or campsite wifi (but we don't mind this). Went on a Sat so the bar was open until dark and a small food menu. Lots of space to run around for the kids. Everything we like!

Primitive grass campervan, tent or trailer tent campsite

Liked Great value for money and the location is perfect. Its not got amazing facilities but either way the toilets were cleaned regularly and the showers in the rugby club were great. There may be a bit of confusion when turning up as there was a guy onsite who spoke to us but apart from that a nice place to pitch up a tent.

Disliked Nothing really. Hayle traffic but thats normal.

Local attractions

The Cornish coast is packed with excellent options for outings, and you’ll be in a good spot here for getting out to lots of those. Sticking to the north coast, a day in St Ives (15 minutes’ drive) is a must, for the Tate St Ives and Barbara Hepworth Museum and Sculpture Garden as well as the beaches and boat trips. Heading to the south coast, there are more fabulous beaches like Praa Sands (20 minutes), along with attractions like St Michael’s Mount (20 minutes), a historic castle on a tidal island, and the Minack Theatre (50 minutes), built into the cliffside and a truly memorable place to catch a show. And of course, right there where north and south meet is Land’s End (45 minutes), with family attractions as well as the chance to snap a pic of the famed signpost. Green-fingered types and arty sorts may also like to take a trip to Tremenheere Sculpture Gardens (15 minutes) while those with energetic kids can find plenty to do at Paradise Park and JungleBarn Cornwall (10 minutes).
