Local attractions

Being right on the South Downs Way, Truleigh Hill offers direct access to miles of beautiful countryside in what is now England's newest National Park. With panoramic views, you can see the River Adur winding down to the sea at Shoreham, three miles south of Truleigh, where you can enjoy the family-friendly beach and all that a small harbour town can offer. Devil's Dyke is only a couple of miles walk away, an historic summit dropping steeply away to the pretty village of Fulking, and is very popular for hang-gliding or simply stopping for a drink at the pub! Walk the South Downs Way to visit the ancient historical sites of Cissbury Ring and Chanctonbury Ring, taking in pretty villages on the way, such as Steyning with its Norman church, traditional Sussex architecture, lovely cafes and shops. The tranquility you will find at the top of Truleigh Hill and across the Downs is in contrast to the abundance of activities available in nearby Brighton, just 10 miles away.
