Liked: Very nice site, well spaced out and clearly marked pitches. There were toilet, shower and washing-up facilities on site, these could on occasion be a bit iffy which is the only reason we'd say 4 stars. Fresh handmade pizzas were available Fridays and Saturdays, we made use of this the night that we arrived and they were lovely - there is also a small cafe providing hot drinks and food during the day, although this wasn't open every day during our stay, presumably because it was very quiet this week. There were some farm animals on site too, which was nice, but there is a cockerel which was crowing from early in the morning and throughout most of the day - some of us were disturbed by it in the morning but some weren't. There are nice walks locally, and a pub that is walkable. It's not too far from towns like Whitstable and Faversham as well. We met James and Robyn, both were very friendly and helpful. We camped in a tent on an electric pitch, but there were also non-electric grass pitches, hard-standing pitches, and a little lodge to stay in. They also offer the opportunity to rent a camper van in partnership with another company, which gives you the opportunity to try one before you buy. James was also telling us about the plans for the site, which sound really good.
Disliked: - occasionally hit-and-miss showers - no light in the washing-up area - toilets could do with a bit of TLC

Disliked: Would recommend a light in the washing up area, and maybe an area to use a mirror at more convenient height.

Liked: Highly recommend, children loved the animals and having the freedom to allow children to be children. The pizzas are delish, and the cafe is amazing to grab a light lunch or drink. Even the showers are always running hot and to a good high pressure.

Liked: Nice layout, friendly campers, ground soft and stone free (so easy to insert tent pegs), short distance to whitstable for shops and seafront, and James the manager did what he could and was apologetic in a bad situation.
Disliked: Problems with the facilities, led to us leaving a day early. Really didn’t like the eco toilet which was the only available facility while the main toilets were being fixed.

Disliked: Toilets blocked, grass not suitable for campervan, bins not emptied, no proper waste water disposal

From the manager: Thank you for your review, I would love to address your dislikes about our site. Following an extremely busy bank holiday weekend, our toilets struggled, resulting in us reducing the loos down to 2 and re-opening our eco toilets, meaning there was still 4 toilets available. We thankfully fixed this problem within 24 hours so loos we’re back to normal very quickly! We’d love to know how our grass also wasn’t suitable as our fairway mower keeps the grass very short and we also roller the fields to ensure flatness! Again bins were extremely full following the bank holiday, but got emptied a few days after-unfortunately they can’t always come as soon as I ask. Our waste disposal site is being improved currently, however you were still able to empty your tank! Thank you for staying with us regardless.
