Liked: This is a really special place! It was luscious and green, perfect for birdwatching. I could see owls, finches, woodpeckers and more from my tent pitch. I felt safe here, which is so important as a solo female, and anyone I encountered was friendly. The biodiversity is truly impressive. It may just be my new favourite place to find calm.

Liked: Perfect location for solitude, the woodland is really well looked after-we loved the re-wilding project. Micheal was really nice, really helpful and really welcoming. His friend was there to welcome us and he was a really friendly, helpful guy to. Really nice people. We would highly recommend this place to be completely immersed in nature, the canopy was gorgeous. The dawn chorus was absolutely incredible!!! Pitches are big, fire pit is awesome. Loads of tree space to hang a hammock and chill... highly recommend 👌

Liked: Modest wild camping? Peaceful Utilities, limited Accessibility difficult due to driveway conditions supposed to be improving soon hopefully Friendly people, helpful
Disliked: Where is my health condition and back pain difficult to get back and forward to load, with camping equipment You need to be in a good healthy condition or at least improvement to do this Camp. PS I dropped my wallet, so be careful with your property keys act because it’s a needle in a haystack to find them

Liked: I loved everything about my 2 night stay. Michael was helpful, knowledgeable and friendly and gave me some tips on what birds I could see and where to look and the woodlands were beautiful and peaceful, the pitch was level and perfect. No phone service which was a blessing as it gave me the chance to really disconnect for a while. I would have happily stay for longer. Really looking forward to booking another stay.

Liked: This was a wonderful visit to a magical wood. We were allowed to pitch out tent in a beautiful thicket of mature and young trees so the forest canopy was over us. It is the most perfect way to get away from the city, surrounded by the trees with the air full of birdsong all day. Michael, the forester was there to help if we needed him and provided firewood. He is very about the forest and the animal habitats. The forest in managed sustainably and bird life is encouraged and fostered. The pease and tranquility was wonderful. This place is a tonic for the soul.

Liked: The peace and wilderness of this camping. Michael is a great tree surgeon and takes care of the land properly. It’s the second time we go and always have a real nourishing time of disconnection from city life and connection to nature.

Liked: It is a quiet secluded woods, and if you are seeking back to basics, this is it. No water on site, but available with wood and eggs to buy when we arrived, and very good they were too. Fire pits are provided and easy to cook on. Facilities are basic with just one composting toilet and one latrine, but basic is what we wanted. Close to Derring Woods, and Pluckley for those seeking Ghosts, but all we found was lots of owls and squirrels to keep us company at night. Michael is very friendly, and had everything we asked for waiting when we arrived. If you are looking for a wild camping experience, this fits the bill.
