Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked: Great open field with plenty of space. Great coffee, pizza and fish & chip van. Friendly staff, clean toilets and showers. 100% would recommend.
Disliked: The number of cow pats in the field :) just made evening strolls to the toilet a bit more fun!

Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked: The relaxed atmosphere, the communal area, the food and drink trucks, the music, the surrounding area, the neighbouring ponies and cows, being able to choose your own pitch.
Disliked: The ground was very stoney and I lost a lot of pegs. Might have just been an unfortunate spot I picked. Was also a lot busier than I was expecting and felt a bit rammed in, but I put this down to being BH weekend and the final weekend of the season.

Liked: Great bar, and visiting food trucks. The toilets were well maintained, especially for the Bank Holiday weekend.
Disliked: Logs are rather expensive and car safety could be better policed, some people we blasting around.

Primitive grass campervan campsite
Liked: friendly staff, plenty of space, adequate toilet facilities, which were cleaned and checked regularly, live music in the evening, friendly atmosphere
Disliked: Not enough showers - only x8 which opened at limited times- long queues. Rules not enforced for dogs on leads which resulted in some dog poo not being picked up. No advice given on allowing some space between next tent - our neighbours pitched their tent a metre from ours when we were out - when there was plenty of space elsewhere - a bit more info on arrival would help with this.

Liked: Location was beautiful and when the sky was clear it was perfect for star gazing.
Disliked: I didn’t find the quiet/adult field until after I set up. The directions weren’t great and there wasn’t any signs.

Liked: The staff who work in the reception area are so kind and welcoming. I loved the views and the limited light pollution made the stars incredible to watch. Although I only stayed for one night and didn’t get to visit the food van on site, we were pitched up fairly close and it was beautifully decorated with hammocks and fairy lights making it a lovely place to eat and socialise. Lovely simple little site which is exactly what I wanted. Plus it was easy to get to!

From the manager: Looks like you had a great time! I remember meeting you and glad you enjoyed it all. The showers only stopped for a few mins one morning so that is hardly fair.. but we do always get complimented on our showers as they're so spacious and always hot! Its is great place to cycle and walk from isn't it.. Hope you come again one day on 2 wheels or 4!
A friendly, clean and welcoming site.

Liked: We wanted a weekend away from it, booked the pitch Fri lunch time and arrived at 6pm. The staff were amazing and really helped, our original field was full but they were quick to help us settle somewhere else and came to check on us. Pitches were level and even with the wind we got the tent up no problems. The social area, bar and food in the evening offered a great atmosphere, which our kids loved (5 and 7) toilets and showers were clean, as was the whole site. It was easy to explore from the campsite and we went walking everyday Just what we needed to unwind and get away from devices and daily life. I would definitely recommend it. A great experience!!
