Primitive grass and earth tent campsite

Liked: The location is stunning, with beautiful views of rolling hills. The campsite is quite flat and treelined so a perfect spot to pitch your tent. The owner was very attentive and helpful.

Primitive grass and earth tent campsite

Liked: We had a lovely stay at this campsite, owner was very helpful and responsive. Children's farm and play barn was great for the size of the site. I'd defiantly like to return next year if we get the chance, lots to explore locally walks and Brighton and other places in the Sussex area.

Disliked: Nothing really,

Primitive grass and earth tent campsite

Liked: This was such a great little campsite! Edward, who runs it, couldn’t have been nicer or more helpful. The kids loved the farm and seeing the animals, the area was beautiful and having the farm shop onsite was a bonus. Lots to do locally too. Would happily recommend and will look forward to returning!

Primitive grass and earth tent campsite

Liked: Love that you can choose your own pitch and plenty of space in the field. You can have fires in fire pits. We brought our own fire pit but I think you can borrow them if you don't have one. You could see donkeys, goats and cows in the adjacent fields. The children's farm is great and Ed is so friendly, coming round to tell us when they are getting animals out or feeding animals so the children can see. The children got to hold ducklings and stroke a rabbit. There is also a play barn, play kitchen and sandpit. We bought our BBQ food, milk, cheese and chutney from the on site farm shop which was very convenient.

Primitive grass and earth tent campsite

Liked: The owner was lovely and really attentive. Our 2 year old loved visiting all the animals and the play barn kept him entertained.

Disliked: The facilities were just ok, clean enough just rough around the edges. The shower never once got hot, which was a shame.

Primitive grass and earth tent campsite

Liked: This was our first experience as a family camping and don't think we could have picked a better site. Site was lovely and clean when we arrived and were able to pick our own pitch with only 2 other campers there at that time. The farm was a lovely bonus and our daughter visited numerous times over our 2 day stay(goats being her favorite). Ed the owner was so nice and welcoming and made everyone feel so comfortable on his daily visits around the site, he gave us some background to the farm which was so nice to hear and also spent time talking about his other love Brighton football club. The toilets were basic but no problem with that at all, and when there was a small problem with the water one of Ed,s sons was on hand to sort it straight away. For a first time camping don't think we could have picked a better site and will definitely be returning next year.
