What customers say
This is a simple, peaceful campsite with stunning rural views, ideal for "back to basics" camping. Guests love the spaciousness, helpful owners, and closeness to a pub and beach. While facilities are limited (one compost toilet, no showers), most find it acceptable for short stays due to good value and location. Another toilet would be a welcome addition.

Lovely site with clean facilities.
Primitive grass campervan campsite
Liked Lovely site with gorgeous views. The field is very sloping and at peak times you would be hard pushed to find a level pitch. Many lovely walks from site - the Jubilee trail is one and there are dozens of other East Sussex footpaths - and the pub is 5 mins away. The beach is 10 mins away down a very very steep hill (hard work coming back up!) I couldn’t find a non road route. There are no shops around and nothing at the beach midweek anymore which would have been handy to know. The farm shop has quite a few supplies as stated. The compost toilets (one in each field) were spotless and very well stocked.
The site is peaceful with lovely views and a walkers paradise.
Disliked The inconsiderate tw6t that ran their car engine constantly all evening long on Monday night. Probably charging their brat offspring’s iPad…..

Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked We had a fantastic weekend at Pett Camping. Caroline is a super friendly host and gave us plenty of tips for the local area. We stayed 3 nights and enjoyed it so much. There was a new compost loo in our field which was very clean, well stocked and even had a small library inside! Short 20min walk through fields to Pett Level beach and the local pub is a 5 min walk away. Closest supermarket is an Aldi <10mins away on the outskirts of Hastings.

Great basic campsite
Primitive grass campervan campsite
Liked This is a basic campsite but we knew that and weren’t expecting any more. The views are fantastic - you can see down to the sea, apparently it’s walkable although we didn’t try, there’s a map in the toilets. There were some lovely sheep in the field next to us and plenty of space for the kids to run about without disturbing anyone else (I hope anyway!) we only stayed one night but it was easy and peaceful.
Disliked It’s not all that flat, but it wasn’t too busy (on the last weekend of summer holidays, so probably doesn’t get all that much busier) so we were able to find a flat area to pitch up without much trouble.

Nicely located but basic campsite
Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked Great location, good value. There was plenty of space at the site and it was easy to find
Disliked Only one toilet for the whole campsite and no washing up facilities. Fine for one night but but would have been tricky for a longer stay

Great choice overall
Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked Nice views, great option for basic old fashioned camping if you’re on a budget and can do without showers for a couple of nights. Caroline was so responsive and lent use games when we hadn’t brought any. Nice compost toilet.
Disliked If there are few people you can easily find a flat spot away from the road, but would be harder if it was fuller.
