  • Peaceful and spacious wildlife haven in the smart Ashton Hall Estate
  • Lancaster city and the Forest of Bowland both within six miles
  • An 11-hole seaview golf course, woodland walks and fishing in the Lune
Rock up here for a restful retreat among the comely grounds of Ashton Hall Caravan Park… Within Ashton Hall’s extensive estate are an 11-hole golf course with spectacular seaward vista, as well as a garden centre and café, all bordered by ancient woodlands and the River Lune, and direct access to the Lancashire Coastal Way and the Lune Estuary Footpath. Your holiday days will surely fill up quickly with all there is to do around the locale too – if you manage to tear yourself away from the site, that is – as the Forest of Bowland, the Lune Estuary and Lancaster city are all within six miles. On site, there's loads of room to wander around the grounds or in the adjoining forest for woodland walking routes, nature trails and cycle paths, many of which will take you from the site directly to the banks of the River Lune. On top of all this, the site takes pride in its sparklingly clean unisex toilet and shower facilities in a modern stone-built bathroom block with underfloor heating. The building includes an accessible bathroom/ family facility, a vanity area with washbasins, big mirrors and a hairdryer, a laundry room with washing machines and tumble dryers, and a covered washing-up area – like the site itself, the amenities block is safely secure and accessed via a secure key code. A local pub and restaurant lies within a mile of the estate, and Lancaster is three miles away.

Liked General Setup and Position

Disliked Not Disappointed but grass could do with cutting more and toilet pans cleaning more regularly, a stronger door closer to Toilet Shower Block Door plus removing the Door Lock override might help with casual toilet users

Lune FHU cement/asphalt and grass travel trailer campsite

Liked Quiet and peaceful site with first class shower block. Excellent arrival instructions also in a lovely location.

Disliked Crushed building materials on pitch driveways. A bit rough and ready and difficult on awning anchors. It would be a first-class site if upgraded. Clearer instructions as to accessing the river path would also be helpful.

Lune FHU cement/asphalt and grass travel trailer campsite

Liked Nice site. Decent toilet block and washing up facilities. Lovely views across the fields. Access to the cycle path and walks down to Lancaster or to Conder Green , where there’s a nice pub called The Stork 🍺 🥘 bus route nearby too and uber is about £6-7 to / from Lancaster.

Disliked Probs a little high priced. Going up to £39 a night next year. But not much to dislike really.
