  • Small, welcoming and family-run campsite in scenic Manx countryside
  • Douglas and Great Laxey Wheel 15 minutes’ drive; Cregneash 40 minutes
  • Quiet, leafy pitches surrounded by woodland; pub 15 minutes’ walk
When you’re looking for a small, friendly – Manx hospitality is justly famed – and family-run site on the Isle of Man, Glen Dhoo Campsite may be just the place for you. Surrounded by greenery in an unspoilt woodland valley, it is 15 minutes’ drive from shops and restaurants in Douglas, and has easy access to all parts of the Isle of Man in under an hour by car. The roster of facilities is reasonably lengthy, as befits a site that has been established for more than 50 years and knows what it’s doing: shower blocks have plenty of hot water (pick up tokens at the on-site tuck shop), hairdryers and razor points; there’s a washing machine and tumble dryer (tokens required again) and sinks for washing dishes. Parking is permitted by your pitch on the well-tended, sheltered camping field, and there’s a pub 15 minutes’ walk away. Castleton and Castle Rushen are half an hour’s drive south of the site, and Ballure is 20 minutes to the north.
