Liked: Lovely views of the hills and very quiet and peaceful site. The showers and toilets were large and clean.
Disliked: No WiFi or phone signal. My husband was having to do some remote work whilst we were away so had to sit outside reception to get a connection which wasn't ideal.

Hogget shepherd's hut (pet friendly)
Liked: HOT showers! Not lukewarm, not warm but HOT! A real luxury in my experience. Campsite connects on to a beautiful footpath to the lake, about an hour's walk. Our GSD loved it despite the rain! Hope to stay here again in the summer.

Powered grass tent or trailer tent campsite (large)
Liked: Lovely site with good sized level pitches. It's a big site but doesn't feel like it as pitches arranged into small fields which we liked.well stocked shop.
Disliked: Could not give 5 stars as site had problems with boiler so we had no hot water for showers. Might seem petty but after long day in the hills was disappointing.
