Primitive cement/asphalt and grass travel trailer campsite
Liked: A lovely countryside campsite with toilet and shower facilities a washing up area and information hut. Very peaceful and perfect for a dark night looking at the moon and stars. You are only a few 100 metres away from a country road but feel as though you have left the Hussle and bustle of life far behind. Lovely nature walks for the children, a dog walking field and only 1/2 hour walk to a great country pub.
Disliked: Nil

Meadow primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked: The owners, very helpful and attentive to their guests. The pitches, good size and level and each had a picnic bench. The views. The nature walk and dog walking field. The shower and toilet block is really clean and modern. The water temperature fluctuates at times but is nice and warm. The location is central for exploring the north east and less than 10 minutes from Morpeth by car which has plenty of options for dining out, shops and supermarkets. It's a little difficult to find, but they send detailed instructions. It's a quiet and peaceful site, the rules on noise were kept by all the guests during our stay. The pitch was pretty damp because of the weather, but not so bad to stop us from staying. There is a hut with solar power for charging devices which works well. It has usb sockets not mains power and there's also a freezer in there specifically for freezer blocks. It's a great site for families with young children, or anyone who likes a peaceful, well kept site with owners who look after their guests. Hard recommend.
Disliked: The weather.

Primitive cement/asphalt and grass travel trailer campsite
Liked: Sustainable off grid Clean and Quiet Lovely views of countryside Just close enough to Uber into Morpeth
Disliked: No electric hook up, but I also like their electricity is solar powered and understand there wouldn't be enough sun to sustain everyone using electricity

Poppy's shepherd's hut
Liked: We stopped in shepherd's hut and it had everything we needed. Very clean and comfortable, the wood burner was great . The site very tranquil, would definitely stay again. Plus Sarah the owner messaged us to check everything was OK and they left some treats for our arrival, nice touch.

Poppy's shepherd's hut
Liked: Absolutely gorgeous little hut. Clean and very well equipped Lots of little touches, local milk in the fridge, local biscuits and even some mini eggs!! The fire definitely kept us amused and became a bit of a fun competition Check in was beyond easy. Quiet, relaxing, peaceful with plenty of space between us the other accommodation Huge dog walking field right next door. Close to everything. Thoughtful welcome and check messages from Sarah and peter to make sure we had everything we needed. My partner loved the wildlife and was particularly pleased spotting dear. We have already recommended to all our friends An eco friendly site in every sense.
Disliked: We can’t find anything negative about our stay, loved every minute Only thing is more of a heads up. Our stay was during some very heavy rain and the short walk from the car to the shepherd hut was very boggy. Not a problem in our walking boots/ wellies but definitely not any good in everyday shoes.

Hawthorn camping pod
Liked: Excellent dog friendly glamping experience, very spacious pod, everything needed for cooking is provided. Lovely quiet spot with fire pit bbq and picnic bench. Friendly staff with great communication answering any questions. Excellent location for day trips to coast/Northumberland.
Disliked: Only negative point would be the shower/toilet block, although great clean facilities, with only 2 of each this may be busy/waiting around at peak/busy times of the season. Everything else was great

Poppy's shepherd's hut
Liked: The site location is beautiful, and the accommodation fabulous. I (and my dog) stayed in Ash Lodge - Sarah had VERY kindly upgraded us because the weather was looking very cold (it was!). The lodge was very well-appointed, with everything you could need for your stay - including encouragement for a digital detox while off-grid, which I gladly took! The highlight was the wood-burning stove - there is nothing quite like a roaring fire while it's cold, dark and raining outside. Even an amateur like me managed to get - and keep! - it going, following the clear instructions. I fully self-catered, so didn't make use of the local pubs, but passed a few while driving to/from the site - and the buzzy town of Morpeth is very close. I'd recommend to anyone wanting a break from the world - time did slow down for me! - and would love to return.
Disliked: Nothing - it really was a perfect break!
