Liked: Hot tub pitch was lovely with beautiful views. The hot tub was fab, and felt very private so didn’t feel conscious about being seen. Felt safe and private so didn’t worry at night.
Disliked: Was only one toilet and shower which were basic but clean enough. Was quiet so didn’t have to worry about toilet being busy but in busier times this could be an annoyance. Trainline nearby, could hear the trains but they didn’t really disturb us.

Liked: Liked it all On arrival the lady met us at the gate she very pleasant. Pitch was a good size idea for our campervan and awning. Toilets and showers very clean hot showers The hot-tub was ready to get in once we arrived (pre arranged before arrival) Ideal place 15/20 min walk to the village where there is 2 pubs both doing food and a Tesco express few other shops etc Buses run regular into York (£4 rtn) I’m defo booking up again Good value for money All ready recommended to friends
Disliked: NOTHING and NOT cowslip farm fault But the road is narrow once leaving the site as no footpath for about 400 yards if you walk to the village

Liked: Kim was welcoming and excellent throughout. When we arrived she quickly showed us to our pitch, gave us a helpful guide and showed us how to use the hot tub. Our pitch was great and just the right size for a 4xl air tent, complete with EHU, a picnic bench, drinking water close by and a wood fired hot tub. On site there is clean toilets and showers and a washing up station. Dogs have to be kept on leads which is a bonus for me. Our pitch was private and no one else was allowed to walk through it. Kim was really strict on this which is good as we felt safe throughout our stay. Really close to Monks Cross retail park and park & ride, only 15 minutes into the centre. 100000% would stay again.

Liked: We had the hot tub pitch - this was amazing! The wood fired hot tub was easy to use. The area was private and very well presented. The scenery beautiful. It was quiet so we saw deer, owls and loved sitting in the hot tub watching the sun go down listening to the birds. The site kept tidy and clean. It’s an almost rustic, glamping site. Great location for York City Centre. Golf club almost next door. Pubs in the local village - also not far away. The owners were lovely and friendly.
Disliked: The mosquitos or whatever they were (not the fault of the site)I did get bitten many many many times - little buggers! 🤣

Liked: The wood fired hot tub was a real delight and was the "jewel in the crown" of our Easter stay! The abundance of wood supply for our stay was excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed having the hot tub which we used on all of our 3 nights. The location and ease to get to York was great. We got the bus from the village (15 min walk) to York which are every 15 mins and got an Uber back (£12) for ease. The village had a few local pubs and we were made to feel welcome. The owners of the site were reassuringly on-hand if needed.
Disliked: The facilities were slightly lacking and thankfully the site was quiet so we were not impacted by only 1 toilet and shower but in total fairness to the owners - they say these are the facilities from the outset and if this is a problem, don't stay here. The shower was hot.

From the manager: Thank you for your review. We’re thrilled you enjoyed the hot tub. The shower/wc block was re decorated last week ready for a busy season and I’m sorry it’s not heated….however we do advertise this. Hopefully we’ll welcome you again during warmer months.

Liked: Peaceful, great host, clean toilet.
Disliked: Layout not great for camper with awning felt guilty for muddying grass also can’t see van when in hot tub. Pitch layout just needs amending.

From the manager: Thank you for your review. Please don’t worry about the grass it can’t be helped with the continuous rain the whole country has experienced for months now. The pitch is in continuous use and is holding up well. The hard standing is two or three meters maximum from the hot tub which is screened for privacy and offers far reaching views across open countryside which is preferable than looking at a caravan/motorhome. Fir fire safety reasons the pitch could not be any closer. We have landscaped the pitch to maximise privacy and views and can reassure visitors that the pitch is more than large enough for tents, caravans/motorhomes with awnings. I find the 8/10 rating for accommodation amusing as you travelled in your own campervan 🤣!!

Liked: Lovely pitch and private hot tub, great surroundings and very cosy with a warm welcome
Disliked: Shower and toilet unit could be improved, there was single toilet and shower which could get busy in summertime

From the manager: Thank you for your review. The shower/wc block was re decorated last week ready for a busy season. As a small site there is a limit to the amount of facilities we offer. Caravan/motorhome owners can always choose to use their own facilities during busier months. Hopefully we’ll welcome you back in the future.
