  • Two-bedroom converted bus in a rural spot next to the river Leven
  • A 15-minute drive from Roseberry Topping; Stokesley 30 minutes' walk
  • Kitchen, heating, bathroom and a decking area with outdoor seating
If you want to stay somewhere out of the ordinary on your next rural getaway, The Bus Stop might be it. Next to the river Leven, this rural site has an imaginatively converted 21-year-old bus with two bedrooms and a host of mod cons. The two-bedroom bus has a double bedroom and a second bedroom with two single beds. It has a fitted kitchen for you to make meals or snacks any time you like, as well as a lounge, desk, shower room and central heating. Adjacent to the bus is The Squirrel Hut, a play hut which kids might go nuts for, and out front is a gorgeous decking area with outdoor seating. The Bus Stop is on a farm in North Yorkshire, half an hour’s walk outside of the market town of Stokesley which has Georgian architecture, a Friday market in the main square and a great walk along the banks of the river Leven. That’s not to mention the coffee shops, wine bars, pubs and restaurants in town, or the Captain Cook Distillery which is an additional 15-minute walk onwards. The North York Moors National Park must get an honorary mention too. A 15-minute drive from the site is Roseberry Topping, which has a good view over the local landscapes. Captain Cook’s monument on Easby Moor is 15 minutes’ drive away from the site.

Liked: What an amazing find! Gorgeous quirky accommodation, a life long memory for us and the children! David was very helpful too! Had everything we needed, the outdoor space and activities were perfect and we enjoyed cooking steaks and toasting marshmallows on the BBQ in the hut! Would strongly recommend!

Liked: We’ve just had a fantastic mini break at The Bus Stop and despite the owners not knowing that we were due to arrive (no communication from Pitchup, they sprang into action and got everything ready quickly. Very relaxing, in a great location, peaceful and quirky. Our young boys loved the open space to play out and being able to sit in the Fire Hut in the evenings. Would definitely go again, especially when the owner added that they would like to add a hot tub.

Disliked: Nothing!
