What customers say
This well-maintained campsite has spectacular views and a fantastic riverside location, perfect for walks and even wild swimming. Guests consistently praise the spotless facilities, including showers and washrooms, and the roomy sites. The on-site restaurant, The Knight's Table, gets rave reviews for its great food and value. Staff are often called friendly and helpful. While most visitors had no issues, a few noted some sloped sites. Highly recommended for a return visit.

Liked Lovely campsite. Good size pitches, clean facilities, pub on site (busy on the weekend, but managed to pre-book a table).

Fabulous site, 9.8 on the Richter scale ;)
Powered cement/asphalt travel trailer campsite
Liked What an absolutely fantastic site. Views spectacular, walks nearby just idyllic and including a fantastic falls in the river Ribble, facilities top notch( ignore other complaints about the showers -very petty), quiet ( despite clearly being very popular and well-used) , exceptionally well organised, staff really friendly and helpful, and the food at the restuarant remarkably good! (also amazing value for the quality) . Brilliant WiFi reception too.
Disliked Slope-y pitch. It took us a while to get our wee caravan level.
Being overshadowed by a gigantic American trailer home to the right of our pitch, no 75. ( A Rockwood RW Ultralight? ) It obscured the view and blocked the light a bit I'm afraid

Powered grass campervan, trailer tent or tent campsite
Liked The whole campsite was beautifully presented, the pitches are really spacious, the grounds are spotlessly clean and tidy. The facilities are modern and welcoming and we're always pristine. The site is perfectly placed for lovely nearby walks and we found it was central to get to all the areas that we wanted to visit. The river just a few minutes walk from the pitches is a gorgeous place to have a walk, sit and have a picnic or have a splash or swim as our children did. The staff are so friendly and really helpful and the onsite shop has lots of items you may need but if not then the staff said to just let them know and they would pick it up for us next time they went into the village.
