Bank Top Camping is a long established, green-field camping and caravan-park with immaculate facilities, offering peaceful surroundings and a plethora of flora and local wildlife. We offer grass pitches with EHUs with lovely views over the Vale of Pickering. We welcome families, groups of friends, bikers, walkers, DoE and rally groups who seek a relaxing break in tranquil surroundings. We have a selection of our own animals and welcome your pets. A luxury amenities block with under-floor heating, free showers and separate family and disabled facilities serves our immaculate park. There is a laundry room with a washer, tumble dryer, fridge and freezer; a covered washing up area with plenty of hot water and washing up essentials and chemical disposal facility. With pitches around the periphery of the large camping field there is plenty of space for children’s games. There is an additional smaller paddock that is well suited for larger groups; all pitches have electric hook up available. We welcome dogs but request that they are kept on a lead whilst on site; there is easy access from the park directly onto local woodland walks. There are several wooden picnic tables/benches available for your use. There is a small cafe on site selling freshly ground coffee, tea, Brymor Ice-cream and our own honey.

Liked: Lovely site, host was there on arriving.Pitch was nice and big and there was plenty of room for the kids to run around and play. Great clean facilities and little shop to buy fresh coffee, ice cream and other treats. Will definitely come back

Disliked: Not really a dislike, and it does say on the booking site, bring a torch as it really does get dark up there

Power optional grass campsite (large)

Liked: The scenery was stunning with a lovely wooded area to explore, the site was clean well maintained and quiet. I didn't use the laundry room but it's a really good addition. Karen was very welcoming and friendly. Great covered area for washing up with liquid provided, didn't have a chance to use the cafe as we were pretty busy out and about as there was so much to see and do.

Disliked: Showers weren't as clean as I'd like them, 2 of the 3 hairdryers were unusable, I didn't notice the under floor heating but maybe as it was summer it wasn't switched on, cubicles were quite small but had a decent bit of storage in them. The water in the shower was very hot and could stand under it for long

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Thank you for letting me know about problems with the hair dryers - new ones are now on order - if you had mentioned when we spoke on check out I would have dealt with the matter sooner. The water temperature has been the same since I moved in 6 years ago, and, since the vast majority of people appreciate the hot water, I won't be changing it. The UFH kicks in automatically when it is cold... Keren

Peaceful, friendly, does all the importantly things perfectly.

Power optional grass campsite (large)

Liked: Loads of space and good amenities!

Disliked: When we stayed it was quite windy and all the tents were in an open filed and the tourer caravans were in a field enclosed with a lot of trees, which to me didn’t make much sense as the tents were nearly blowing away and the caravans were getting very little wind.

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: The caravans are positioned on sloping hard ground under mature trees with little grass due to the shade and big roots that make inserting tent pegs nearly impossible. The tent field is very flat, grassed and the ground is softer. I have planted a hedge around the field to try to provide more shelter but we don’t usually have gale force winds in August! ‘fraid I can’t do anything about the severe weather!
